My husband and I had a wonderful time on this bike tour! We only had one day in Bangkok to explore this incredible city, and this tour was a great way to do just that! Our host, Sky, was extremely knowledgeable and personable, and ensured we were well taken care of and had a great time. We were able to cover lots of grow, see awesome points of interest, and eat delicious food that is sometimes hard to find with so many vendors available. Would definitely recommend as a great way to see the real Bangkok!
People, stop scrolling! You have to try this fantastic hidden gem of a tour! Our guide, Mo, was phenomenal with a cheery, and extra fun personality. Due to an inbound flight delay, we were two hours late, but this guide still waited for us, and still gave us the full experience! After he first arrived in Bangkok, the original creator of this tour, Wat Ampai, of ThailandBlueprint.com fame, learned first-hand about all of these back streets on this side of the river, where few tourists fail to traverse on their own, and created this one-of-a-kind bike tour through a lesser-known, yet still fascinating side of Bangkok. His associate, Mo, guided us down small streets and pathways, where locals were happy to see us, and practice their English by calling out "Hello", and "How are you?"as we rode by their local shops and houses. Mo also showed us the first Catholic Church in Bangkok, started by the Portuguese, who were the first to introduce spicy foods into the Thai diet, and that church lies within meters of a popular Thai temple, and a Jewish synagogue, all living harmoniously together in the same neighborhood, and why can't the rest of the world be like that?? We made frequent stops at local eateries, so that Mo (whose English is amazing) could have us sample local Thai foods and desserts that we may have not normally ventured to try on our own. The tour even includes a stop at a local policeman's own house, where his wife served us an authentic home-cooked Thai meal. So show up with empty bellies, because this tour is both biking and cuisine tasting combined. An interval stop at a local market near a river gave us plenty of time to shop where pricing was not gouged for tourists. You could spend time shopping, or just grab a tea and sit at any number of tables along the riverfront, as you watch the longboats sail past. This is safe, easy biking for all levels, with multi-geared bikes that allow you to peddle uphill or downhill at your own comfortable speed. The bikes are well-maintained, and each comes with protective raingear, should the weather suddenly turn on you enroute. Well worth every penny, you MUST save room in your itinerary to see Bangkok from a local's point of view with these folks from Must Try Bangkok Tours. Well done! And a special thanks to Mo for this wonderful day!
I had an amazing tour with Sky - I highly recommend! He took me on a leisurely bike ride along the river, several canals, and small streets - many of which I would not have ventured down without him! I came into the tour knowing very little about Buddhism or the Thai people and came away with a huge appreciation for the country, culture, and people - as well as the food! I would 10/10 recommend this tour for anyone wanting to learn, taste, and see Bangkok!
Mo was absolutely fantastic!! Very knowledgeable, friendly and fun. Trip itself was amazing!! Going through little streets and areas in the old town that we would never have seen or even though about visiting! Food was plentiful and delicious! Being invited into peoples houses and them cooking for us was an honour. Would 100% recommend doing this tour, you’ll not be disappointed.
This was the best bike tour!! Zky (my amazing guide) was awesome and extremely knowledgeable about Thai history and Thai food.
The cycling tour gave me a chance to explore the quieter side of the city. Cycling through the narrow lanes was a lot of fun. All of the food spots gave me a chance to eat authentic Thai food and I enjoyed eating such a variety of different dishes. Our host, Sky was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about the history of the city along with the description of the different dishes we were eating. He made me feel comfortable and was really engaging. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore the side of the city that not many people get to experience.
I came to Bangkok for the temples and left obsessed with the alleys, the family-run food stalls, and the locals who waved like they'd known me forever. If you want the real city, hop on a bike, come hungry, and let this tour show you the Bangkok the guidebooks never mention.
Fantastic experience and well led by our very knowledgeable guide Mo. Would highly recommend the tour. Takes you through the lesser known part of Bangkok with interesting history and amazing food.
It was 100 degrees and humid during our bike tour, but I barely noticed because I had such a good time on this tour. Sky was funny, patiently taught us some of the Thai language, very knowledgeable, cared about our safety, and we had GREAT food. Could not recommend more:)
I’ve done a few food tours in Bangkok over the years but I think this one is my favorite because it was a great mix of exploring lesser known corners of the city, eating in people’s homes, visiting temple and floating markets and getting a bit of exercise. Our host, Sky, was very knowledgeable and safety oriented so even though I’m not a frequent biker, I felt very comfortable biking around the city. Would definitely recommend!
