We had an incredible experience on this food tour with Taka. It exceeded our expectations! This food tour was one of our top Japan experiences during our two week trip. Taka was so much fun for our family of four that included two teens. He was engaging and informative. We learned a lot about food, culture, and Osaka. There was SO MUCH food! We tried such a variety of items and we would not have tried several of them without Taka leading us. NO REGRETS about booking this tour. It was worth every penny.

If you’re looking for an authentic food experience in Osaka, book a tour with Hikaru! This was one of the highlights of our trip. We explored the Shinsekai district, stopping at five incredible local food spots where we enjoyed delicious gyoza, fresh takoyaki, flavorful tofu and beef dishes, and other local specialties. The tour also included three drinks, including a traditional chuhai (shochu highball), which was a fun way to experience Japanese drinking culture. What really made the tour special was Hikaru. He shared fascinating stories about the history of Osaka and Japan, explained the culture behind the food, and gave us fantastic local recommendations that we’ll be using throughout the rest of our trip. He was knowledgeable, funny, welcoming, and made everyone feel comfortable from the very beginning. Thank you, Hikaru, for your kindness, your passion for your city, and for creating such a memorable evening. We left with full stomachs, a deeper appreciation for Osaka, and memories we’ll always cherish. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Osaka!
