Situado na Ponta do Garajau, o Miradouro do Cristo Rei oferece uma perspectiva única sobre esta Reserva Natural. Deve o seu nome à majestosa estátua construída neste local em 1927. O Miradouro do Cristo Rei deve o seu nome à estátua do Sagrado Coração de Jesus construída neste local. É uma imponente escultura de Jesus Cristo, de braços abertos, de frente para o oceano.
O grande vale que serve de anfiteatro natural ao Funchal, por um lado, e o mar calmo que banha a costa sul da Madeira, por outro: é isso que se avista desde o Miradouro do Pico dos Barcelos. Este observatório situa-se a 355 metros de altitude e está idealmente posicionado para que os visitantes possam desfrutar de vistas tranquilas sobre a paisagem urbana do Funchal, em particular sobre a sua baía.
A 1095 metros de altitude, o miradouro da Eira do Serrado oferece uma vista desafogada sobre a freguesia do Curral das Freiras, rodeada pela imponência das montanhas verdes características da Madeira.
O ponto de vista do Cabo Girão, com sua famosa plataforma de vidro suspensa - chamado Skywalk - é atualmente uma das atrações turísticas mais visitadas do arquipélago. Com 580 metros de altura, o Cabo Girão é o promontório mais alto da Europa. Entrada 3 euros.

If you're considering a private tour in Madeira, I highly recommend Diogo! We spent two full days with him exploring both the west and east sides of the island, and after such a fantastic experience, we also booked him for our airport transfer at the end of our stay. Our driver/guide Ricardo took us around Funchal and showed us everything he recommended and also what we wanted to see: Botanical gardens, fishing village Camara de Lobos, sea cliff Cabo Girao, drove to Monte village where we took a thrilling toboggan ride ( local most popular tourist attraction), visiting the statue of Christ overlooking the Atlantic ocean. Ricardo made the day so much fun knowing all the ins and outs. We want to return and explore more.
