Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation é o maior e mais antigo centro de reabilitação de orangotangos do mundo. Este centro abrange 4294 hectares. A Floresta Kabili-Sepilok é uma reserva de selva virgem rica em floresta tropical e manguezais. Foi criado em 1964 com a intenção de reabilitar orangotangos bebês órfãos e libertá-los de volta à natureza. Macacos-narigudo no Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary, onde você pode experimentar o encontro no armário. Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Center é o primeiro centro de conservação de ursos-do-sol do mundo. O urso do sol (também conhecido como urso do mel) é o menor urso do mundo. A reabilitação de Sepilok Orang Utan é a mais antiga e a maior reabilitação de Orang Utan do mundo, onde este centro cobre 4294 hectares. Kabili - Sepilok Forest é uma reserva de selva virgem rica em floresta tropical e manguezais. Foi publicado em 1964 com o objetivo de reabilitar o bebê órfão Orang Utan de volta à natureza.
20 minutos de carro até Labuk Bay Proboscis Sanctuary para pegar a alimentação às 11h30 de Proboscis Monkeys no Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary, na verdade, localizado a 38 km da cidade de Sandakan e está situado no centro da floresta de manguezais, bem perto da costa do mar. Os macacos-narigudos selvagens saem da vegetação de mangue para se alimentar, pois a comida será servida em sua própria plataforma de alimentação fornecida. Este é o único lugar em Bornéu onde a oportunidade de ver este macaco de perto. Normalmente, 3 a 5 grupos de macacos-narigudos saem para se alimentar. Silver Leaf Monkey e Hornbill talvez possam ser vistos no santuário

The orangutan sanctuary was disappointing for us as my friend had been and there was a lot more close up encounters with the orangutans as they appeared and walked on the walk boards. For us we just saw them in the nursery and feeding and so no different to the zoo. Whilst I appreciate what the sanctuary is doing and well done to them the experience wasn’t what I was expecting. Be prepared as it’s very busy ! It’s also very hot and humid so be prepared for that. Great experience walking through the rain forest canopy
An excellent tour to see the different animals of Borneo. Orangutan feeding at 10am is amazing to watch, though understandably busy. Take lots of water. The RDC was good, and far less busy, but the animals are by far the attraction here. The sun bears and proboscis monkeys were amazing also!

Such a fun experience! It was just my family and the guide, so we were able to go at our own pace. Our guide timed things so we could see feedings for the Orangatans, proboscis monkeys and the unbearable. We saw so much animal action. And our guide Jackie was awesome. Really friendly, really knowledgeable, and so good at spotting horned bills, snakes etc.
There are so many orangutans! My cell phone camera’s zoom didn’t take great pictures, but the in-person views were great. Bring water because it is hot! No bags are allowed to be carried because the orangutans may try to steal your stuff!

Very friendly guide and driver. We were the only people on the tour, so a private tour for 2! Our guide's English was sometimes hard to understand but he was very informative and helpful. At the end of the day, during the trail through the jungle, my phone fell out of my pocket, through slats on the walkway and into the lake below. I thought it was gone for sure but our guide Jackie knows the rangers well (as he does tours most days) and 2 ranges went wading in, with one going completely under with goggles and all, for about 15 minutes until he found the phone in the muddy lake bed. Unbelievable! And he pulled it out in full working condition (I am writing this review using the same phone). Really impressed by the friendliness, willingness and generally going well above the call of duty by all concerned. Thank you. A traumatic but positive end to a wonderful day full of sights and sounds in the jungle. Highly recommended.
Faisal was an experienced, knowledgeable and outgoing guide. We were at the right places at the right times. We skipped the rainforest research center due to weather. Our choice. Monkeys were worth it, even if a bit away. Even saw an hornbill fairly close.
