Amazing experience! You must go, you will definitely love it!!! The house is breathtaking, each corner holds a part of history.
The at work here is so beautiful and the house is so so amazing. Your really have to see this place with your own eyes. Highly recommend taking the time to see this place.
It’s a standard timed entry process, so you line up with the time slot designated on your tickets! The tickets are perfectly valid with the rest of the museum tickets.
The historical atmosphere of this museum is phenomenal. So much to look at so much to take in. I feel like I’ve got to know Frida in a different way than I knew her before. It was imaginative to think where she might have been sitting and doing her art in this beautiful location. If I had one suggestion, it is about accessibility. It’s very difficult to maneuver the uneven sidewalks and pathways if you have walking issues.
The museum itself is good. The trouble is that this is NOT a skip-the-line ticket. When you arrive, you will join the queue just like everyone else. This is because the museum officials do not recognize the skip-the-line feature of these tickets which are sold by third parties. I recommend the museum, but you should not a pay a premium to “skip the line”. Bring comfortable shoes for the wait, instead.
The museum does not acknowledge skip the line as advertised by Viator. When you arrive you are required to stand in long line regardless of how the ticket was purchased. It is less expensive to purchase direct from museum website.
Not the best experience for seeing her actual artwork but more so to learn about her history and see where she grew up.
Thank you for your feedback! You're absolutely right that the museum focuses more on Frida Kahlo's life than on displaying a large art collection. Frida created a relatively limited number of paintings during her lifetime, and several of her most famous works are now housed in museums and private collections around the world. That said, Casa Azul still features a meaningful selection of her artworks, along with many personal belongings, photographs, clothing, and the rooms where she lived, offering a unique insight into her life and legacy. We hope you still enjoyed this special experience.
It was a good experience and so glad a lot of the information was in English, liked how they paced the entrance so that it did not feel crowded
Thank you so much, Dianne! We're delighted you enjoyed discovering Frida's world and that the pacing made your visit comfortable. The Casa Azul really is a special place, and we're glad the experience lived up to it. We hope to welcome you again on a future adventure!
We showed our ticket at the entrance and walked right in — no waiting at all. The house is so beautiful and full of history, we spent almost two hours inside without feeling rushed. If you’re visiting Mexico City, this is a must. So glad we booked ahead!
Thank you, Fallaj! Skip-the-line straight in is exactly the goal. So glad you enjoyed the beauty and history of Casa Azul — enjoy the rest of Mexico City!
