I also did the Alternative Ancient Rome tour with Ben, and it was fantastic. Well-paced, very small group, and I got to explore and learn about several things I didn't know existed. It was nice to be seeing things away from the busiest sites. Even though it was a busy time in Rome (it always is), nothing we visited felt very busy, which was a pleasant surprise since the sites were great. It was a very hot day and somehow, the route was so well-planned that we had a lot of shade throughout and the heat wasn't even a bother. Fantastic communication before the tour, really easy to follow meet-up directions, and so fascinating that I didn't want it to end!
