Experiência privada D-Day de Bayeux

Our group of six booked a full-day private tour with Bayeux Shuttle. Lisa was great to work with as we detailed our interests and needs. We had an excellent experience on our D-Day guided tour. Our guide was Pierre and he was outstanding -- courteous, professional, had excellent social skills, and was incredibly knowledgeable. He also utilized photos and maps when we would stop at the various stops and he would talk which helped us better understand what had happened at each stop. We visited St. Mere Eglise, Utah Beach, Omaha Beach, and the American Cemetery. We also stopped at a restaurant for lunch. It was an 8 hour day but was not rushed. All in all an excellent experience. One member of our party needed a small step stool to get into the van, which was not provided. Luckily, our BnB host had one we could borrow for the day. Otherwise, there were no hitches at all and everyone in the group thoroughly enjoyed our day.

I booked a private experience as I was traveling to and from Paris on the same day. Took the train roundtrip. My guide, Fred, met me at the train station and took me on an American D-Day tour. He was absolutely wonderful, knowledgeable and friendly. I learned so much. It was absolutely worth the private tour price. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks Bayeux Shuttles and Fred for surpassing my expectations.

We did a private D Day tour for our group and I cannot recommend this company enough. We were picked up promptly from our hotel and spent the full day visiting landmarks. Our guide- Morgan- was so educated on everything! She also mixed in personal stories of war hero’s which was beautiful to hear. She also asked us specifically what we wanted to see and tailored any requests. She personally raved about what a good company Bayeux Shuttle was to work for.

Irene was a fabulous guide. She was entertaining and told us a lot of information in a fun learning way to help us remember facts. She was very accommodating at fitting in everything we wanted to see including helping a cousin find a family member at the America cemetery. It was a great day and I would highly recommend. I should also add this is my husband and my 2nd time doing this tour and we learned additional information. For the other 4 family members it was their first time and they throughly enjoyed it

Mari was awesome! On time pickup and great guide for a full day touring the beaches and towns of Normandy. Highly recommend her and having a guide with her knowledge to take you through the D-Day saga!

Roma was a terrific, knowledgeable, and adaptable guide. She was able to move us from one site to another seamlessly and effectively and even added a stop at another place even though it took more time. She answered all the many questions asked of her.

Our private D-Day tour was one of the highlights of our trip to France. Our guide, Rethro, was fantastic – knowledgeable, enthusiastic and great company throughout the day. The tour gave us a much deeper understanding of D-Day, especially the sheer scale of the operation and the distances involved, which were much greater than we had imagined. We also really appreciated Rethro’s broader perspective on the war and his stories about the people involved on both sides, both soldiers and civilians. It added a very human dimension to the history. A fascinating and memorable day. We could not have asked for a better guide and would highly recommend the experience!

We arranged for a private, guided experience to the American beaches and cemetery and the Airborne Museum. My wife has limited mobility and my daughter and her husband were with us, so we needed a guide who could help us make sure that everyone had a good experience. Our guide, Marine, did just that. We got to the Omaha and Utah beaches, the museum, and the American cemetery, which is the most somber, tragic, beautiful, and compelling place we have ever visited. Marine has a firm and impressive grasp of the background, context, and details around D-Day. She gave us great information and also made sure that we visited places where my wife could walk and also places where the youngsters could leave the old farts behind. She gave us clear directions but also enough flexibility so we could spend more time in some places and less in others. We were very grateful to have arranged the private tour----it would have been much more difficult for us on a larger tour bus.
