A personal and unique experience that I highly recommend. Erick our guide was the best and super knowledgeable and the overall tour did not take an entire day so it was super convenient to do and come back to do more stuff. A word of warning that part of the hike does get steep in some parts but is doable and not a super hard/long hike. But wearing good shoes and maybe long pants is recommended. Also we did go pretty high in the mountain so those sensitive to altitude shouldnt do this tour right after they land in Mexico. Overall my favorite tour and super interesting to learn the history.
This is such a wonderful, unexpected experience. We got to see an area of the city that most people never go to and had great Pulque, beautiful views and encounters with wonderful people in the mountains. We also got to ride in VW beetles, but be aware they are for 2 people, so if you have a larger group you will be separated. You will also learn a ton from Erick, so please give this a shot!
This was so much fun and interesting and not something we would have done on our own. Erick our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable - he completely made this tour. Thank you.
Erick was a fantastic guide for this tour. He's extremely knowledgeable about these unique areas of Mexico City, the city itself and it's history, as well as Mexico as a whole. You see a unique part of the city that tourists don't normally go to making this experience well worth it! The pulque (a local drink) tour stop is an added bonus!
This was a very authentic ans personal experience! Our guide, Alex was very friendly, knowledgeable and took us through his own neighborhood, as well as a fairly remote Pulquería where we tried some of the freshest pulque we had while in CDMX. We rode through the town, had a traditional lunch, and hiked up a hill to see gorgeous views of CDMX. The cablecars were smooth and offered a beautiful view of the surroundings. Nothing like I’ve ever seen in a big city as a primary mode of transportation. 10/10 would do the tour again and recommend Alex to people willing to go a bit off the beaten path and experience beautiful scenery and delicious food & drink!
Our guide Alex speaks perfect English, is a local here knowing the city and Mexico inside out, courteous and professional. At the end of the tour he walked us to the bus stop, gave detailed instructions on how to get to our next destination of the day and swiped us into the bus stop. The tour itself gave us a chance to get a more complete picture of Mexico city and truly feel the vastness of it. Highly recommend.
My guide, Erick was helpful and very knowledgeable. When I booked, I did not see anything but the cable car so when we got to the top and we went to get in a tiny car I was a bit apprehensive. Then we got to the top of the tree line and supposedly hike up a trail. I said I cannot risk this. He had an alternative place for us to taste the pulque that he explained the whole process thoroughly. One of the most amazing experiences you’ll ever have do not pass this up! You see the whole entire city on a commuter cable car I can’t even describe it. Yes you could do it by yourself, but you wouldn’t have all the information like a local can give you!
Hi! Thank you for your feedback Alicia! I’m glad you had a good time during this experience. I appreciate you pointing out that there was no prior warning to the hike we do at the middle of the experience. On other platforms I do warn about the hike and recommend comfortable footwear for it. We hope to have you back in a future with the other experiences we offer. Have a great time in Mexico! Best regards, David Hernandez
Highly recommend this tour. Erick was a great guide and very friendly. After many museums, the chance to see this neighbourhood from the air, and then up close as we drove through it on the way to the mtn hike to the pulque spot was great. Erick was a knowledgable and interesting guide. We were a small group and he was interested and open to talk history, politics, and of course, pulque. We got to try many flavours of pulque, and as most people report, they were all great. Lunch at a little local spot before we headed back down the cablebus. Great views, a nice little hike, good conversation. Highly recommended. Thanks Erick, I'll tell friends to ask for you!

Erick was a very friendly and very knowledgeable guide. The trip on the cable car was fascinating and our walk up the mountain to taste fresh Pulque was worth every step. Highly recommend.
Hey! That’s exactly what we say to each other every time we hike up for pulque. At the end it will be so worth it. Thank you for taking time to review your experience! We hope you already have plans to visit Mexico again. We’re happy to share any recommendations Regards, David Hernandez
Amazing views. Casual pace. Steven has a good understanding of the area and is a great guide. There is a bit of a short hike at the end that wasn’t described great in the description but most people should be able to do it. Overall a great experience - I wouldn’t want to be in a group bigger than 6-8.
Hello! Thank you much for your message and for pointing out that the hike isn’t mentioned in the description of the tour. That will be fixed now. We hope you enjoyed your trip out here in Mexico! Happy travels. Regards, David Hernandez
