Excursão Seastar Luxury Outer Great Barrier Reef Island and Reef

Fantastic day on the Great Barrier Reef. We throughly enjoyed our day with the Seastar Crew. The skipper & crew provided all the necessary safety information in a clear & concise way. We had 32 people on board but 8”it didn’t feel at all cramped, there was plenty of space & equipment for everyone. We are novice swimmers/snorkelers but the team made us feel very comfortable and went to great lengths to ensure we had a great experience out on the reef. Alisha and Carly in particular were kind enough to “tow” us around and make sure we didn’t miss out on any of the coral & sealife. The crew provided snacks and a lovely lunch with plenty of vegetarian options. The team took lots of photos through the day and then posted them on Facebook so anyone onboard could download & keep them for free. All in all it was a wonderful day, providing us with fantastic memories. We would highly recommend booking with Seastar, especially if you aren’t a confident swimmer, they will really take care of you.

The crew were all pleasant and they were eager to provide information about the reef and its inhabitants through briefings and if anyone asked questions. I didn’t know before booking tour but they also offer scuba diving for anyone interested in addition to the snorkeling and the glass bottom boat ride which were all enjoyable options.

All the crew were super organised and professional. We got to visit 2 reefs which had their own unique feel. Lots and lots of tropical fish and healthy corals. Although we are both comfortable in the water we appreciated the wetsuits supplied as well as the noodles to make buoyancy effortless. Best tip is take the seasick pills before you board. We did and had no problem. Others were suffering badly.

This was truly an unforgettable experience and one of the best tours I have ever done. The entire team was professional, friendly, and incredibly well organised. They took us to stunning locations filled with natural beauty, and everything was managed perfectly throughout the day. What impressed me most was how attentive the staff were. They constantly checked on everyone, made sure we were safe and comfortable, and helped us enjoy every moment of the trip. The Great Barrier Reef was absolutely breathtaking, and this tour created memories that will stay with me forever. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Cairns. Was such a great tour, great places, and the team were incredible. It was so personalised because it was a smaller group, so everyone chatted with most, highly would recommend more than the larger tour boats.

Excellent experience! It was such an amazing day out, the captain and crew were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. They were all so lovely and clearly passionate about ensuring the best experience. We lucked out with weather and so snorkeling was so good. Of course, there was the glass bottom boat- which I personally didn’t do, but it seemed like a well thought out experience. Plus, the crews made you feel like you were 100% safe at all times. Briefings were perfect. Just a really fantastic stay at a once in a lifetime place.

To start: I am terrified of open water and the ocean, BUT, i also want to see the GBR and the marine life there. I booked this particular tour as it focuses on a small group (under 40 passengers) and was not disappointed! From the moment i stepped on board i felt i was in safe hands. The crew were welcoming, friendly, and shared interesting information about the reef and the fish and coral that lives there. The snorkelling at the Cay was fantastic, i felt comfortable with the tour, and the glass bottom boat tour pointing out various things to see was great as well. When we got to the second stop for snorkelling, i was a little nervous, but Carla (i hope thats right) went out with me and helped show me some of the corals and fish. Unfortunately the water here was a little choppy and i got a little overwhelmed, thankfully Carla was right there, and was able to guide me back to the boat whilst helping keep me calm. I am very thankful for that, this crew are fantastic for this. Overall, i would totally recommend this tour for anyone, especially if you are nervous like i was. The attention to safety and care, whilst still being informative is top notch. If i was to ever tour the reef again, it would definitely be with Seastar. Shoutout to Mimi as well, she kept great conversation which helped allay my fears. As a bonus, there is also the option to snorkel with a pool noodle, and/or floatation to help if you aren't a strong swimmer.

Don’t waste your time searching for another Barrier Reef excursion. This is it! Extremely professional, knowledgeable and personable. The entire crew made sure that we were safe and comfortable while enjoying the trip.
