É a mais movimentada das quatro estações que servem a cidade (as outras são La Spezia Migliarina e Ca' di Boschetti para viajantes e La Spezia Marittima para carga no próprio porto). Ao longo da costa do Mar Tirreno, a estação encontra-se na linha que liga Génova e Pisa.
Riomaggiore é uma das cinco aldeias que compõem as Cinque Terre, que é um Patrimônio Mundial da UNESCO. Esta cidade é famosa pelas suas casas de pedra multicoloridas que parecem empilhadas umas sobre as outras, bem como pelo seu porto, repleto de barcos de pesca tradicionais. Também é considerado um dos pontos turísticos mais populares de toda a Itália.
Após a queda de Roma, muito pouco se sabe sobre Corniglia; no entanto, no século 13, tornou-se parte da República de Gênova. Corniglia ainda é famosa por seu vinho, e os viajantes que desejam experimentar as Cinque Terre, mas ficam em uma área calma e menos pisada, procuram a vila. Corniglia está localizada na parte mais ao sul das Cinque Terre.
Vernazza é a quarta cidade da rota em direção ao norte, é uma das "aldeias de pescadores" mais autênticas da Riviera italiana e não permite o tráfego de automóveis. É o único porto natural de Cinque Terre e é conhecido pelas casas sofisticadas que ali se encontram. O nome Vernazza se origina da palavra latina verna, que se traduz em "nativo" em inglês.
As Cinque Terre são compostas por cinco comunidades costeiras diferentes, sendo a mais conhecida Monterosso al Mare. A vila pode ser encontrada em várias colinas que são cultivadas com limoeiros, videiras e oliveiras. The guide was fluent in both Italian and English. Not just panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea, but we also experienced amazing hiking paths and some unique local food at an eatery. The village of Riomaggiore is so colorful. An experience that we will cherish for a long time.
Listen to your guide using the ferry makes the day perfect. Make sure to have lunch in town. Private is best
This tour covered the areas highlighted for their heritage value. The guide provided insightful commentary with historical facts in a cultural context. As first time visitors, this tour was an excellent introduction to the Cinque Terre.

This is a rip off. They are sneaky by charging for the "group" instead of per person. Realize that if I had someone with me, it would have cost the same as if I was solo. $625 for a solo excursion. Robbery. How can you enjoy an excursion when you are getting violated. I do not care that the description or small print explains it!!! Common sense says it's robbery. I have used viator for many excursions in many countries. Never again unless I'm refunded half that amount.

Each location offered something unique. We were surprised by the ingenuity of the locals of Riomaggiore who’ve thrived despite the challenges of their rugged environment. This tour made us see how old-world charm is preserved amid the vibrance of everyday life.

Giovanna was the highlight of our trip to Cinque Terre. She was kind and funny and made sure we were all happy. We had 5 children ages 10-15 and 3 adults and she made sure there was something for everyone. This tour for me, was a great way to see one of Italy’s most eclectic regions. The villages nestled in the Liguria region are so inspiring that they have captured the imaginations of artists, writers, and poets for centuries. Seeing and experiencing all this, was a delight. I must say, that the tour guide had a deep understanding of these places.
