O mercado Rolous é um dos mercados importantes onde os aldeões locais vão de manhã e no final da tarde para comprar legumes frescos, carnes, frutas, peixes de água doce, bem como utensílios domésticos. É o mercado Khmer mais antigo da região e uma visita obrigatória para quem procura experimentar o estilo de vida local
Kampong Phlouk é um ótimo destino para os turistas visitarem os manguezais e florestas inundadas e as aldeias flutuantes. Visite o belo Tonle Sap, o lago é o segundo maior lago de água doce do mundo. Este lago é a força vital do país e a principal fonte de peixe e proteína para a maior parte da população cambojana. Visite a floresta inundada e as aldeias flutuantes. Você verá uma vila de pescadores flutuante que se move conforme o nível da água sobe e desce durante o ano. Seu guia local explicará o estilo de vida diário e o trabalho de um morador local que vive na terra e na água. Ao longo do caminho, você fará paradas em alguns lugares para explorar as aldeias locais a pé, conhecer e conversar com a população local.
A comunidade depende em grande parte da pesca para sobreviver, principalmente do camarão, passando a pesca na estação chuvosa do Camboja. Muitas casas e edifícios são construídos sobre palafitas que variam de 6 m a 9 m para acomodar as mudanças no nível da água entre as estações chuvosa e seca. Durante a estação seca (Novembro-Abril), à medida que o rio fica mais fino devido ao recuo das águas, muitos recorrem à agricultura para complementar o seu rendimento. O turismo, que começou na aldeia há cerca de 10 anos, é também uma parte crescente da economia local.

This is a great half day tour! Sim and our driver were fantastic. On time pickup, very professional, and informative. The local marker tour is interesting and the boat ride is a lot of fun. Highly recommend!

The trip was really interesting. As well as the village, we visited a local market and had a boat ride on the lake, visiting a crocodile farm. Our guide told us lots about Cambodia, local life and the importance of the lake to the 1.3 million people who live around it. I would highly recommend this trip.

Excellent tour with Arun as a guide. Extremely informative. Pick up from hotel was smooth and on time, car was great and the stops on the way at local small town markets, a great insight. The stilt village and boat trip exceeded expectations.

We made a late booking just evening before the morning tour. Were very happy to have an available slot. Website booking was easy and confirmation was clear. Pickup from hotel was fussfree and very punctual. Our guide: Mr Sim Sokoan was very patient and thorough. He explained clearly what the half day trip was and the timings to expect. The trip is really value for money. This was one of the most reasonable rates, and we were so surprised that it was a private tour for only 2 of us! The private tour was fantastic. The tour guide speaks fluent english and tells a lot of interesting facts. We could ask him anything about Cambodia. There were no other tourists at the local market. We tasted different types of fruit. In the tuktuk was free cool water. The floated village was very beautifull and it was interesting to walk around the not floated part aswell. Highly recommend.
