Our guide, Barda, was great, and he gave us a very whimsical and fun tour around the main downtown area in Reykjavik. Seeing how local shop owners treat street cats so humanely (some of them would lay on top of brand new clothing items inside those shops) was so refreshing. The cats themselves were classic feline characters. We also learned about the history and some folklore of this beautiful and mysterious land. The Cat Cafe was the best part for me, knowing that the owners there will host cats until they get adopted made my day. I will recommend this tour to every cat lover out there.
We had a blast, we got to see lots of cats! Enjoyed this tour! Would highly recommend if you love cats
Dear Jill, This makes us smile so much! 😻 We’re absolutely thrilled that you had a blast and got to see lots of cats, that’s exactly what we hope for on this tour! 🐾 It’s wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the experience and that you’d recommend it to fellow cat lovers. Reykjavík’s feline friends truly make the adventure extra special. 🐈✨ We would love to welcome you back for another purr-fect adventure next time you’re in town! With gratitude and warm regards Steina Your Friend In Reykjavík & Team
The cats are an Independent People. You will not always get to see them, but they probably have something else, just as important, to do anyway. Dont worry. Baldi has plenty of stories to tell, has local knowledge to share, and is happy to answer any questions, including 'How does one talk to an Icelandic Kisi.
Dear Catherin, Thank you so much for your delightful review! 😊 You’re absolutely right, Reykjavík’s cats are wonderfully independent and tend to keep their own busy schedules 🐱✨. We love your attitude about it! We’re so glad you enjoyed the tour with Barði and appreciated his stories, local knowledge, and willingness to answer every question, even the very important ones about how to talk to an Icelandic “kisa” 😄🇮🇸. We truly appreciate you sharing your experience and hope to see you again for more fun adventures in Reykjavík, cats or no cats! 🌍💙 With gratitude and warm regards Steina Your Friend In Reykjavík & Team
My family loved this cute tour of Iceland’s cats! Highly recommend Stephan I as your guide. He took us to many locations throughout town to visit the famous cats and to the Cat Cafe for drinks and dessert. Just a fun short tour if you love cats or even just want to learn a little more about Reykjavik.

The guide was so passionate about the cats and their stories. It was a neat way to tour Reykjavik. Even ended the tour by meeting his 3 cats
What an amazing tour! Bardi was so friendly and knowledgeable about Icelandic cats and so much more! We really enjoyed learning about the city of Reykjavik and the history of Iceland as well as the Folklore of Iceland, the Yule cat and the goddess Freya. Bardi was a fantastic tour guide and story teller, we really felt connected with the city and meeting all the local famous felines was an added bonus! The cat cafe was warm and inviting and the drinks and Icelandic pastries were delicious. It was so lovely to see so many local businesses having cats they help look after. The local tips and recommendations for where to eat were also really helpful! As a family we really really enjoyed this tour and would say it was good fun and not just for cat lovers. Thanks so much Bardi for giving us such a special day x

We’ll be sure to let Barði know how much you appreciated his stories and recommendations. Thank you again for joining us, and we hope your memories of our Fantastic Feline Tour—and all the friendly cats you met—bring smiles for years to come! Warm regards Steina Your Friend In Reykjavík & Team
Booked this tour for something a little different on a family vacation. Turned out to be one of the highlights of our adventures in Iceland. Not only did we learn the history of Iceland, but we also went hunting for and found the shop cats of Reykjavik. Our guide, Bardi was entertaining and clearly a cat enthusiast. Tour includes a visit to the Cat Cafe for cookies and coffee/hot chocolate and our last stop was Bardi's home where he introduced us to his own children. All in all definitely recommend this walking tour. We plan on returning to Iceland again and will be booking some different tours with this company. Small groups, private groups, felt like the tour was made just for us. Thanks again Bardi, we had a blast and we went to the little restaurant you recommended for lunch.
We're thrilled to read your lovely review and are so grateful you chose to join our Cat Walk tour during your family vacation. It sounds like you made some special memories, and Barði will be pleased to know his enthusiasm and knowledge made the tour extra memorable. Our small group approach is designed to give our guests a personalized experience—thank you for highlighting that! We look forward to seeing you and your family for more fun and unique tours the next time you're in Iceland. Thank you for recommending us! With gratitude and warm regards Steina Your Friend In Reykjavík & Team
The cat Baktus is a little bad ass. We had to go to a hotel and a couple shops asking for him to finally connect. He's like the cat mayor of Reykjavik and just wanders around (in the snow storm!) checking on his city.
Dear jonQ5553HZ, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed meeting Reykjavik's famous feline residents, especially the independent Baktus. He truly is the cat mayor of the city, and it sounds like you had quite an adventure tracking him down! We're delighted you made the most of the tour—even in a snowstorm. We hope you'll join us again soon for more Reykjavik discoveries (and kitty encounters). With gratitude and warm regards Steina Your Friend In Reykjavík & Team
Fantastic tour experience! Bardi was our guide, he made this experience so special and personal for us. Meeting his cat friends in different spots of Reykjavik was great, and we enjoyed listening to facts, fun facts and anecdotes on Iceland and its cats 😸 Highlight was when Bardi invited us to his home to meet his 3 fluffy cat friends. Thanks a lot! :)
Thank you so much, Voyager226066, for sharing your amazing experience! We're thrilled to know that Barði made your tour around Reykjavik memorable and personal. Our guides love introducing guests to the unique cat culture of the city, and it sounds like meeting Barði’s own cats was the purr-fect highlight. We appreciate your kind feedback and hope you’ll join us again soon for another unforgettable experience. With gratitude and warm regards Steina Your Friend In Reykjavík & Team
Family of three (1 avid cat-lover, 1 cats-are-nice, and 1 cat-hater) - all three enjoyed the experience! It was part cat scavenger hunt, but that only added to the fun (I do believe the cat-hater liked being able to spot cats before any of the others). The stories were great and I could tell our guide Barði enjoyed what he did! This is the experience I share with others when people ask what I did in Iceland! (Pictures of cat-hater and cat-lover ... see, memorable for all!)
Thank you for your wonderful review, 334shanak! We’re delighted that your family, with its mix of feline fans and skeptics, had such a great time with us. Our guide, Barði, really pours his passion into every tour, and it’s fantastic to hear that shows through. It warms our hearts to know that we can make Iceland a little more memorable for everyone, regardless of their opinions on cats. We truly appreciate you recommending us to others and look forward to welcoming you again soon. With gratitude and warm regards Steina Your Friend In Reykjavík & Team
