Francesca is an excellent tour guide, she went into depth the process explaining all the food that we tried.
So fun! Wonderful guide. Good food, and fun market to shop in afterwards. Highly recommend! Barbara was great!
This was one of the best things we did in Rome. Even though this wasn’t our first visit, and we’d actually lived in Italy before, we still learned a lot about Roman street food and local food culture that we hadn’t known. Our guide, Ramona, was fantastic: knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the city. The tour was very well organized, and every stop had a purpose. She even taught us how to use the Roman fountains. What made this tour especially valuable was that we took it at the beginning of our week in Rome. After learning about pizza al taglio, supplì, and other local specialties, we found ourselves choosing street food throughout the rest of our trip. Instead of wondering what to order, we understood what the shops were selling and what made each specialty unique. I highly recommend doing this tour early in your visit. You’ll not only have a great experience, but you’ll also get much more out of every meal for the rest of your stay. A fantastic introduction to Rome, and a tour I’d recommend to anyone visiting the city.
Lotta good food, lotta good history. It was for seeing different parts of the city that I likely never would’ve gone to otherwise
This was a great experience with good historical context and a nice variety of foods to try. We ran a little late as the metro was down and we had trouble getting a cab and the group waited for us. It was overall a really nice time and would definitely recommend!
Marco is an absolutely phenomenal guide—incredibly knowledgeable, deeply relatable, and effortlessly witty. He didn’t just feed us; he illuminated the rich, vibrant history of Rome with every single bite. Our intimate walking tour kicked off in the historic Campo de' Fiori, followed by a bustling local food market where we sampled exquisite pesto, luxurious black truffles, and an array of artisanal sauces and seasonings. Over the course of five perfectly paced stops, we explored the fascinating Jewish Ghetto, savored authentic Roman fried artichokes, and indulged in classic supplì (rice balls). Along the way, Marco treated us to a masterclass in local cheeses, Roman pizza, cured meats, and fine wine, concluding our journey with exceptional gelato. The small group dynamic kept everyone fully engaged and connected, and the itinerary offered the perfect balance of walking and resting to truly absorb the local culture. It is easy to see why Marco has earned such glowing acclaim. Do not miss this spectacular street food tour!
This was even better than I expected. The tastings showed off Italian foods. The guide - Marco- was informative, humorous and knew his food. The group was also convivial which made it easy for solo participation.
The perfect way to start your trip in Rome! Our guide was incredible and we loved the small size of the group!
Marco was an amazing tour guide! Very knowledgeable on the food of Rome as well as the history of the city! He was very kind and made sure everyone was taken care of! Definitely a great way to explore the city and try some new food!
The guide was fabulous and waited for two people who were over 20 minutes late so they could join. She shared so much history and the food was wonderful! We were so full at the end and it was a great experience to hear from an expert about what we were eating and why. On reviews I read, people complained about the artichokes, but we loved them. All the food was simple and delicious.
