O Esplanade é um local à beira-mar no coração de George Town, Penang, na Malásia. Abrange o campo adjacente ao Fort Cornwallis, conhecido localmente como o Padang, e o calçadão à beira-mar ao longo da borda do campo.
Rodeado por muita vegetação tropical, é um dos pontos turísticos mais conhecidos de Penang e oferece uma grande variedade de batik de qualidade, desde batiks de estampas em blocos a peças desenhadas à mão. Na Penang Batik Factory, ao contrário da habitual impressão unilateral, cada peça apresenta padrões e cores em ambos os lados do tecido.
Paisagem tropical com mais de 500 espécies de plantas, além de passeios de jardim, passeios noturnos e cursos de culinária.
Lugar interior / exterior contemporâneo com borboletas vivas e outros insetos, além de workshops interativos.
Penang Batik Factory é um dos pioneiros da fabricação de batik na ilha. Fundada em 1973 pelo Craft Batik Sdn Bhd, fica em Teluk Bahang, a poucos passos dos Jardins Botânicos de Penang. O complexo é dividido em três seções: uma galeria de arte, boutique e oficina.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our driver Mr Azmel was so knowledgeable and we learnt so much. Our tour of the Batik Factory and sales outlet was well worth it. Our favourite was the Butterfly Farm - such a beautiful experience.

Driver was on time. Not very talkative, really just a driver. As we had visited both locations and still had time he did suggest another location to visit .

The overall experience was good. The downside was it was difficult walking the trail. Be prepared for high humidity. Has a jungle feel for me. Worth the effort.

Great and personalized experience with our guide, who pick up us at the crusade ship harbour , very fluent in english and a good knowledge about the region and people in the area. She showed us also some extra highlights, we realized, that she is quite proud of her country.

Great exploration of the Island with wide ranging activities and local knowledge. Very flexible on timing so we could explore at our own pace. Everyone enjoyed the Butterfly Garden, Fruit Sampling and the Spice Garden was very interesting to explore. Comfortable tour from knowledgeable local host. Family of 4 Australians w/2 teenage kids.

The guide wasn't a guide, just a driver. Sorry, we have not received any information about the island, city, culture,... The booked program also did not fit with the plan of the "guide". He did not want to approach two points of the program. Value for money does not fit. With this experience, next time we would take a grave and drive to the points described in the program, pay the entrance fee ourselves and then we would have saved a lot of money.

Disappointing visit. If the route is well indicated, the plan is well done, the garden lacks maintenance and information for beginners. Not many haunts in the paths, the vegetation is mixed, it is very difficult to spot the species. The route is short. Little or no spices. Overall disappointing Jean Pierre
