Fantastic excursion. Professional staff. We enjoyed snorkeling and especially appreciated our tour guide’s recommendations.
We were able to snorkel in 2 great locations. More than enough time to have fun. Danny our tour guide was great and showed some amazing sights of the island.
We went specifically for Baby Beach, it did not disappoint. Baby Beach is a must stop if you're in Aruba, just a absolutely stunning beach.
Go to the first beach and there was no chairs then an hour on a bumpy road in a bus at to the second beach, which was very nice. You could rent a chair and there was a restaurant and bar but then a very bumpy ride back home I would not recommend this unless you want to sit on a bus for two hours.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We do our best to provide a very clear and detailed description of this excursion so guests know exactly what to expect before booking. The tour has a total duration of approximately 5 hours, which includes about 1 hour at the first beach and around 2 hours at the second beach. The remaining time is used for transportation between the locations, which is also outlined in the description. For this reason, we always recommend that guests read the full tour details beforehand to ensure the experience matches what they are looking for. The beaches visited on this tour are located in more natural, less developed areas of the island. While this allows guests to see a different and very beautiful side of Aruba, it also means that some of the roads leading to these areas can be rough or bumpy. Unfortunately, the condition of these roads is outside of our control, but they are quite typical for accessing some of the island’s more remote coastal spots.
Danny came to us on an open bus, along the way he told us, in perfect English and Spanish, what we were seeing: refinery, brewery, desalination plant etc. At Mangel Alto he gave us the instructions to snorkel safely. Then we passed through San Nicolas and he showed us the murals. Finally we arrived at Baby Beach and also gave us directions and had 2 hours to snorkel and enjoy the beach. Bottom line: very good way to get to that part of the island if you don't have a car and beautiful places to snorkel, great variety of fish sizes and colors!
At the Mangel the water was very rough. The stones were impossible to walk on. We were not informed about needing water shoes. There are no facilities available, washrooms, chairs etc. At the Baby Beach, there is no shade, chairs and canopies have to be rented from Big Momma, at 15.00 per chair & 80.00 for a canopy. The payment had to be cash. The Big Momma sales guy told us after we rented a chair we had to move we were in a restricted hotel area. The hotel rep Lowrenzo said we didn't have to move. Only to find out that the beach was public. Our guide "Danny: was good, he gave us extra time at the Baby Beach when he found out we weren't able to take full advantage at the first location. More information needs to be given out about the tour, regarding facilities and beach amenities.
Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Regarding Mangel Halto, the water conditions can vary daily depending on wind and tide, and unfortunately this is something we do not control. It is a natural beach area known for its rocky shoreline, which many guests enjoy for snorkeling, but we understand that it may not be ideal for everyone. We will review our tour description to ensure it clearly reflects the natural terrain so guests can come prepared, including bringing water shoes if preferred. As for Baby Beach, it is a fully public beach. The chairs, canopies, and shade rentals are operated by independent vendors, not by our company. Their pricing, cash-only policies, and rules about where equipment can be placed are entirely outside of our authority. We understand that the mixed messages you received from the vendor and others on the beach were frustrating, but those operations are not managed or controlled by us. We provide transportation and guided service, but we do not manage beach facilities or third-party vendors. At Mangel Halto there are no permanent facilities, chairs, or washrooms. For this reason we only spend one hour at Mangel Halto. We spend longer at Baby beach as all facilities are available. We do our best to describe the experience accurately, and we will continue improving how we communicate what amenities are — and are not — available. We are pleased to hear that Danny took good care of you and adjusted the timing to make up for the earlier conditions. That level of attentiveness is what we strive for. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to further clarify our tour details so guests have the right expectations before arriving.
Trip was great! The driver Danny was super helpful and friendly. The time is also good to spend in the two beaches. I would recommend the trip for a first-time quick tour at two most beautiful beaches for snorkelling
Really wanted to check out the south part of the island with its amazing beaches. Decided to do the Mangel Halto & Baby Beach one they offered. Very reasonably priced. My goal was to get a ride to each. Much more affordable than getting a transport for one person so I booked it. Awesome experience. Danny was awesome. Enjoyed talking with him. He have great insights where to snorkel. This was exactly what I wanted. It over-delivered on my expectations.
We had so much fun! Both locations had hundreds of fish that you couldn’t see by just walking in the water or peering down in the water, snorkeling was the way to go. We got great pics and the guide took us on an awesome bus ride pointing out a lot of landmarks and sites. Highly recommend!
Both beaches were beautiful but snorkeling was better at Baby Beach. Your picked up in an open air school bus. Driver was wonderful and very informative with snorkeling hints and pointing out some sights on the island. We even saw some donkeys. Definitely recommend this excursion!
