Raffaella is a gracious hostess. We learned a lot about bee behavior and honey production, sampled the ripe fruits in her garden, had a honey tasting with some wine from her grapes and some of her homemade foods. The whole experience was outstanding, and we felt we made a friend as well. This is a way to celebrate traditional Italian ways with local people, and step away from the tourist areas for a few hours too!
Very nice and entertaining tour, passionate hostess with her son make it a fun experience with lots of info about beekeeping and super tasty own honey, snacks and also beautiful wines from own vineyard! Had a nice morning!
The host was friendly and very knowledgeable. There was no rush and she explained everything very well and took very good care of us. We would highly recommend this visit and would definitely come again.
It was a very interesting and eventful experience in a beautiful place. All our questions and much more were answered in detail and individually. We learned a lot about bees. Afterwards we had a very delicious snack. Thank you Rafaela for these lovely hours!
We had such a wonderful beekeeping experience. Rafaela was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and it was fascinating to learn all about the bees. The honey tasting was absolutely delicious and made the whole experience even more special. Rafaela added some personal touch with her homemade treats too. The children absolutely loved it and was the highlight of our holiday. A big thank you to Rafaela as well for the bottle of wine which was a thoughtful surprise. We throughly enjoyed ourselves from start to finish. We even drove into the town afterwards to buy honey from the family store, which was the perfect way to round off the experience.
Great couple of hours learning about the farm and the bees from the farmer and trying their produce.
We had a blast - learned a lot, tasted some homemade goodies and saw bees in their natural habitat. Real fun experience!
We visited this in July 2025 with our two children (10 and 7). The owner (Rafaella) was a fantastic tour guide, teaching us all about the herbs and vegetables she grows, how the bees live and work inside the hives and even giving us the chance to video the bees. The highlight was the end where we were able to try a number of different honeys, and we were then treated to some homemade foods, some dessert and even some wine. Throughout, she was excellent with the kids, who were fascinated. Would definitely recommend.
The 'meeting point ' is actually the Beekeeping farm so when organising transport make sure you book the return journey as well. Cost of taxi to and from our hotel in Bardolino was 70 euros. A very interesting two hours with Raffaella. Explaining and showing the work that goes into producing the honey and other products followed by delicious tasting. The honey I tasted, I realised the next morning, is served at my hotel 💕
Very interesting tour, very natural people and welcoming, cannot recommend this tour enough for someone who has interest in bees.. worth the price!
