Aproveite este safari a pé com excursões e viagens de expedições ao mato no Quênia. Crescente ilha é um belo lugar escondido no chão do vale do rift. Está rodeado pelo belo lago Naivasha, o lar de centenas de hipopótamos. Depois de 1,5 horas de carro de Nairobi, você é recebido na ilha crescente por guias amigáveis.

Este será um dia maravilhoso para você. Nosso motorista irá buscá-lo no início da manhã do seu hotel na cidade. Após uma breve introdução, você dirigirá por 1,5 horas para a ilha Crescent com uma parada no ponto de vista do vale Great Rift para a fotografia. Uma lancha está esperando por você para a balsa para a ilha. Há milhares de pássaros para observar, animais pastando nas margens do lago e roncando cabeças de enormes hipopótamos. O piloto é experiente e age como seu guia no lago. Depois de 30 minutos de viagem, você chega na ilha e é recebido pelos guias amigáveis. Eles guiarão você pela ilha e mostrarão animais e vegetação. Do topo da colina há uma vista de 360 graus através do lago de Longonot ao Portão do Inferno, à Escarpa de Mau, a Eburu e aos Aberdares. Nós não estamos cercados para permitir que a vida selvagem no continente chegue à medida que eles perdem seu habitat para o desenvolvimento e a crescente população. Hipopótamo pastoreia em cima de nós à noite, em seguida, dormir sob a acácia ou descansar na água durante o dia. A girafa que nasceu na ilha volta a dar à luz; às vezes você vê três gerações de cada vez. A hiena vem caçar à noite mas não é residente na ilha, os muitos python que vivem aqui podem ser vistos ocasionalmente com uma matança. Grupos de Buffalo vêm e vão, mas são sempre monitorados. Great experience. Very peacefull place. Taxi on time. Good prices. Long ride to naivasha but good to see landscape. Perfect day trip
I booked their Crescent Island tour and, while their website said it was US$150pp, it was actually US$200 since I was a solo traveler, but it was worth the extra cost. Joseph picked me up from my hotel right on time and told me a lot about Kenya as we traveled to Lake Naivasha, with a brief stop to take in the views of the Great Rift Valley. As I'd told him that I was interested in birdwatching, Joseph made sure to find me a boatman who knew about birds for my tour of Lake Naivasha. (Once I reached Crescent Island, I was handed over to one of the island guides, Steven, who showed me tons of birds, mammals and even a reptile.) Once I rejoined Joseph on the mainland, he recommended Kifaru for lunch. It's a tourist cafe a little ways from the lake, so the prices are better than the lakefront options. He steered me away from the a la carte menu to the buffet, which all of the guides (and the well-informed guests) order. For less than US$10, I had a plate with yummy stewed beef, salad, mixed veggies, sauteed spinach and ugali (a steamed cornmeal bread). Then he returned me to my Nairobi hotel right on schedule, after a very full and interesting day.

I was alone with Julius and I really enjoyed the time I spent there with him. He was very qualified for his job and knew a lot of different things. We have been able during this day to drink Kenyan coffee, buy some Kenyan gifts, do a boat ride on Naivasha Lake and of course to see all the animals of the crescent island. We could almost touch them, it was a one time experience. It was marvelous. I think I will remember this day my whole life. Thank you to Julius who has been such a good guide during this day. Booked this tour as side activity (after big national parks) and was positively surprised. Island is very beautiful. You can see various mammals and birds from close distance, zebras and giraffes were the cutest. Whole scenery is very beautiful. Includes short boat ride as well. Driver/guide Julius was great,.too. Provided a lot of interesting information, took photos of me, gave me enough time on the island and generally was nice.
