Em primeiro lugar, você também vai visitar Penang Hill, onde você vai montar um trem funicular para o seu pico a 833m acima do nível do mar para desfrutar de uma espectacular vista panorâmica de Georgetown e Butterworth continente. Bungalows coloniais podem ser encontrados em torno desta colina devido aos britânicos preferindo ficar em um clima mais frio em comparação com o ambiente quente e úmido da cidade.
Depois disso, visite o Templo Wat Chayamangkalaram, onde se encontra a 4ª Estátua do Buda Reclinado. Do outro lado da estrada, você também pode visitar o Templo Dhammikarama Birmanês, que mantém a estátua do Buda a 8,2 metros, tornando-se a mais alta da Malásia. A existência destes dois templos é devida ao início da colonização da comunidade tailandesa e birmanesa no início do século XIX.
Fort Cornwallis é um forte do bastião em George Town, Penang, Malásia, construído pela Companhia Britânica das Índias Orientais no final do século XVIII. Fort Cornwallis é o maior forte em pé na Malásia. O forte nunca se envolveu em combate durante sua história operacional.

Chew Jetty, ou Sneah1 Chew1 Kio2 em Penang Hokkien, é o maior dos assentamentos à beira-mar em George Town. Foi criado em meados do século XIX, em um Penang muito diferente do que é hoje. Os últimos molhes da comunidade, o Peng Aun e o Cap3 Snaeh3 Kio2, foram estabelecidos apenas na década de 1960. Cada um dos molhes do clã tem um pequeno santuário para homenagear as divindades do mar. Chew Jetty é o único convés de clã que continua a observar o culto anual da sua Deidade do Templo, uma vez por ano, e o Imperador de Jade (Thnee Kong, ou "deus dos céus").

We enjoyed the tour. The driver Vijay was very friendly and knowledgeable. He followed the itinerary and allowed us plenty of time to take pictures etc. The vehicle was fully airconditioned and neat. The driver also let us use his power bank when our phone battery was low. We recommend the tour and the driver Vijay to others.

I’ve only given four stars because we had a few glitches, not a moan, it was a Very Good Trip, let me stress that. The driver was a lovely old guy but his limited knowledge of English caused a couple of misunderstandings about pick up points etc. The minibus was a bit strange as we had to crouch down to look out of the window to see out. However, the fast track to Penang Hill via the Funicular Railway was amazing, with lovely views and walks. Later visit to the Buddhist Temple was very pleasant. We also gained an insight into the areas of Penang to walk to later in the day. Good value trip and experience of this interesting location.

We got met by a woman (no idea of her name and she kept ringing on the phone for the driver, finally she got in touch and we then had to walk about 15 minutes to the van where she disappeared and he took over. He said “where do you want to go” and I said I thought you knew, anyway we had tickets for Penang hill fast track so I said to go there where he dropped us off and said ring him when we were done and that was it we were then left on our own and there were people everywhere. We finally found where to go and we went up the funicular and it was great but I was disappointed as had booked 2 other tours with Viator and they were wonderful
We booked a 6hr excursion; were told by the driver who barely spoke english that it was only 5 hours. It was resolved after calling the office and talking to the person in charge. We waited 30 min for the driver to pick us up from Penang Hill which was irritating. Our driver was very nice but hard to understand; he even let us borrow local currency in lieu of dollars we thought that was nice.
