A Grande Biblioteca de Alexandria foi fundada no século III aC, logo após a fundação da cidade como uma nova capital do Egito por Alexandre, o Grande. É considerada uma das maiores realizações no legado da antiga Alexandria, uma vez que a biblioteca e o Mouseion, a maior instituição de aprendizado da qual a biblioteca fazia parte, são creditados por preservar a maior parte do conhecimento do mundo antigo.
O teatro romano foi uma descoberta muito importante no século XX. Está provado que o teatro foi construído desde o século IV d.C. e foi utilizado até ao século VII, passando pelas épocas romana, bizantina e islâmica.
O Montazah Palace está situado em extensos jardins e tem vista para um belo trecho da costa. Construído no início do século XX pelo quediva Abbas II, parente do rei Farouk, o palácio mistura arquitetura turca e florentina: a torre central foi inspirada no Palazzo Vecchio de Florença.

Absolutely fantastic tour! Naelah was extremely knowledgeable, funny, and very kind. Went to the serrapeum, catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, roman ampithetre and bibliotheca Alexandrina. All we amazing and highlight by Naelahs knowledge and recounting of history. 100% would recommend and do again!

We had a lovely and relaxing shore excursion with Maha in Alexandria. Maha was very striving and flexible in the design of the day and gave us nice insights to the main sights (catacombs and Biblioteca Alexandrina ..) but also to local markets, shops and mosques. Her German was excellent. We had chosen this agency especially as it was the only one on Viator that offered individual excursions in German. A very successful day

The experience when you have a wonderful guide is much better than when you try to do it yourself or have a “not so good” guide. Mohammed was wonderful, informative and very enthusiastic. We learned a lot in the museum in Giza and all the other places he took us during our two days in Alexandria. Thank you so much for a great time!
