Elias was great and very informative! This place was amazing! There are no words to describe this place. Everyone who is thinking about visiting this place should just do it.
A fabulous day trip not to be missed. Francesco picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel which was an important factor in taking the trip. The caves were impressive and Francesco did his best to accommodate us with our needs. The only issue was that he didn’t speak English and so some things may have got lost in translation eg there was no pulque tasting or drinks served in the second springs as described. Nevertheless the trip was fabulous and the extra stuff didn’t matter. I would definitely recommend Fransceso if you are Spanish speaking.
This is my first tour with Viator and I was very worried because Tolantongo is a little far from Mexico. However, if any of you are having those doubts forget about them, Tolantongo was the highlight of my trip and I think it's very worth the 3 hour commute. Penelope is very welcoming and speaks English as well. Our driver/tour guide Francisco made our trip very comfortable and I honestly think the service went above and beyond. We were able to get a look into authentic Mexican culture and Francisco made our trip much more comfortable. Tolantongo itself has so many activities and the views are gorgeous and are a must-see once in your life. However, if you want to make your trip easier and comfortable, I'd recommend a tour with Penelope.
Thanks a lot, you are adorable and it was a pleasure to take you there!
Josue was great! Was in constant communication with us before and during the trip. He was very attentive and offered to make stops for food, water shoes, and towels. Definitely recommend this excursion. It’s a change of base from visiting Mexico City and the water and views are AMAZING!
Our tour guide Josue was the best we could ask for! Pickup location was easy to understand/communicated well beforehand by the organizer of the tour Penelope. We didn’t wait at all, Josue was prompt and accommodating. Beyond worth the money for the experience, comfort, safety, and communication. My husband and I loved the details: the drive to Tolantongo (even though it’s 3 hours was relaxing/scenic), they asked if we wanted to stop for breakfast, water accessories, lunch, in addition to taking us to all the best swimming spots (caves, rivers, and positos). We got complimentary pulque, delicious by the way! If you are not familiar with Spanish you can still feel comfortable on this tour as long as you have google translate. All the stops we made for food and accessories were super affordable and convenient/safe. Be prepared! You will be walking a lot, so yes you need water shoes. Also bring a towel! Don’t have one? No worries there are plenty of stops where you can get some on the way. Also you can bring a backpack and it is safe.
