Descrição
A Geleira Matanuska é a maior e mais magnífica geleira do Alasca com acesso rodoviário. Iremos levá-lo a cerca de 800 metros da face da geleira, onde iniciaremos nossa caminhada. Caminharemos na geleira por duas a duas horas e meia e caminharemos cerca de 3 a 5 quilômetros. Há pouca mudança de elevação e a dificuldade da caminhada é classificada como moderada. A geleira fica a cerca de duas horas de carro de Anchorage. Faremos uma parada no meio do caminho para uma pausa no banheiro, onde você também terá a oportunidade de comprar café e o que quiser para comer enquanto estivermos fora. É fornecida água engarrafada.

Ao longo das 2 horas de carro da Geleira, ursos, alces, corujas, águias, raposas e porcos-espinhos são todos possíveis de ver. E ao longo do caminho também há muitas belas fotos panorâmicas para tirar.
O povo nativo do Alasca de Chickaloon é uma mistura de Ahtna e Dena'ina Athabaskan. Esta é uma pequena cidade onde veremos algumas lojas, igrejas e casas.
Sutton é uma pequena cidade localizada na Glenn Highway entre Palmer e Glennallen, e um local conveniente para abastecer com gasolina e lanches para visitantes que se dirigem a atrações como Matanuska Glacier e Sheep Mountain.

The weather is good which makes the whole glacier look blue. It’s so beautiful. The guide is nice and very knowledgeable about the glacier. Highly recommended.

Long drive from Anchorage. Experience was good - it just wasn’t great. Van driver was erratic. Glacier guide was fantastic. Wet, cold day in July but we were on a glacier so seemed normal.
Honestly, the hike on the glacier itself was amazing! It was beautiful, and we had a super informative guide. Only thing that was t great was the van did not have any air and it was pretty hot and uncomfortable on the way home from the hike. Other than that, it was an amazing experience.

Glacier tours are absolutely stunning. You get to see massive ice formations, and the scenery is just breathtaking.
The tour was great! Ryan was very helpful and his Communication was awesome. They provided spikes and assisted with putting them on so no one slips on the ice. The hike could have been a little longer but overall very detailed and hands on from the guides.
The bus ride with Dan and the Glacier hike with our guide Izzaboo was so much fun! Hiking Matanuska was a surreal experience.

Great way to see the Glacier up close! Ryan was super knowledgeable, patient, and lots of fun. The glacier is a sight to see! We made quick friends with the others in the group which made the ride to/from really fun.
