O livro escrito por Stephen Ambrose e a famosa série de TV de 2001 produzida por Steven Spielberg e Tom Hanks tem sido um grande sucesso e deixou muitas pessoas com vontade de aprender mais sobre a Easy Company, liderada pelo famoso 1º Tenente Richard Dick Winters. Depois de 30 minutos de carro de Bayeux, você começará o dia na praia de Omaha, onde a 1ª e a 29ª divisões de infantaria dos EUA desembarcaram. Com a ajuda de mapas e fotos, nossos guias explicarão a você todos os detalhes de “Bloody Omaha”. Do traçado das defesas alemãs ao apuro das primeiras ondas, vamos partilhar convosco as histórias destes bravos Gi’s que conquistaram a praia.
Após 5 minutos de carro, seu guia mostrará o cemitério americano atrás da praia de Omaha. o local de descanso de mais de 9.000 militares americanos e mulheres. Este lugar sagrado, administrado pela American Battle Monuments Commission, é o local do Dia D mais visitado na Normandia.
Dirigiremos 20 minutos até nossa próxima parada: o local único de Pointe du Hoc. Siga os passos do 2º Batalhão de Rangers dos EUA liderado pelo famoso tenente-coronel James E. Rudder, que escalou os penhascos para destruir uma bateria de armas alemãs que ameaçava toda a operação de desembarque dos EUA. A batalha da mansão Brecourt é a ação mais famosa vista no segundo episódio do programa de TV. O grupo tirou quatro armas disparando em Utah Beach. Do monumento da empresa Easy, seu guia lhe contará tudo sobre esta batalha excepcional.

Paul was an excellent guide through Normandy! His knowledge of the D-Day battlefields and of ‘Easy’ Company was outstanding! He was very personable and engaging, constantly providing us with little known historical facts about the Allied invasion.
The tour was outstanding. Remy was the best tour guide. His knowledge and passion about D-Day, and the different stories of what occurred came through his presentations throughout the day. I saw and learned so much. It was the best tour I've been on. I highly recommend it. Especially with Remy!!
Val was a great guide for our full day tour. He was very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited and had information to explain each stop on the tour. He had many pictures for each stop to explain what happened there and information about the people involved, which helped to further our understanding. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and would highly recommend this tour.
Wow, did we have a wonderful and highly knowledgeable tour guide! Anna had a fun spirit and was very knowledgeable about the events of D-Day and WWII in the Normandy area. I was particularly moved when she shared with me that during this past year's D-Day commemoration, a veteran shared with her that the time is coming when survivors of D-Day will no longer be present, and how important it is to him that the next generation continue to tell the stories of what happened on this day and during WWII. They did something very important, and their experiences need to continue to be shared and learned from.
Ana was our tour guide and she was exceptional! 5 Stars. I do a lot of tours when I travel to Europe from USA - this was one of the best. Tour started promptly at 9:00 and we returned to our hotel at exactly 5:30 just as promised. Tour pace was perfect and tailored to the group’s interest (we were a group of 6). Van was air conditioned, clean and comfortable. We stopped for lunch for 1 hour. Enough time to eat and explore a little church in the plaza where John Steele “landed”. Tour guide was fun, knowledgeable, prepared with maps and pictures. Highly recommend.

Hello, We are glad to read that you had a terrific time with Paul. We try to maximize our group tours, by including the best sites therefore timings are crucials. You should have booked a private tour for a slower and "in depth" experience.
Paul was our guide for this exceptional all-day tour. I booked this tour for my husband who is a big fan of the Band of Brothers series, as well as all things WW II related. I personally, have never seen the show. But that did not stop me from having an incredible time. I learned so much! My husband thoroughly enjoyed it as well. Paul was very knowledgeable, and seemed very passionate about what he was teaching us. The extra visuals he brought along are the icing on the cake that aided in our understanding. The van was very clean, comfortable, and safe. Thank you Paul, for a great day and sharing so much great knowledge with us! I highly recommend this tour!
