Este programa oferece trekking difícil, mas imensamente gratificante, ao longo da cordilheira que desce pelas planícies bem abaixo. Não é apenas o cenário (e a altitude) que o deixará sem palavras, mas também a emoção de sentar-se entre um grupo de macacos de gelada ou assistir à magnífica walia ibex justa nas bordas da rocha.

Encontraremos você de manhã no aeroporto de Gondar ou no seu hotel em Gondar. Dirija de Gondar para Debark, que é a cidade sede do parque nacional. Pararemos aqui para obter permissão para entrar no parque e encontrar o batedor. Teremos café e chá e visitaremos o mercado local se tivermos tempo. O mercado local está aberto todos os dias, e toda quarta e sábado é o grande dia do mercado. Da cidade de Debark, dirigiremos até o portão do parque, a cerca de 16 km da cidade. Então, estamos caminhando cerca de 6 km para Buit Ras, a primeira área do parque nacional. De Buit Ras, caminharemos por cerca de 3, 4 horas até Chilkuwanit, que é um dos pontos de vista mais bonitos. Esta área oferece vistas deslumbrantes sobre a escarpa caindo verticalmente. Você certamente encontrará tropas dos babuínos Gelada endêmicos e os verá de perto. Você também pode ver chacal comum, klipspringer e muito mais. Existem muitas aves, como o Corvo-de-bico-grosso, o Auz Buzard, o Papagaio Negro, o Lammergeyer e diferentes espécies de plantas, como a Rosa Abissínio, a Erica Arboria, a Euphorbia Species, a St. Johns Worttree (Hypercumrevoltum) e assim por diante. Due to the conflict in Amhara region, this tour as not possible in the natural park. And I understand that but I should have been informed in advance in order to be able to cancel the tour without penalty. They decided to make the tour in the beginning of the mountain range which is 20-30 km from Gondar. No park fees were needed. We were back at lunch time, which means the tour provided was not full day. Lunch was also not offered, I had to pay myself. This means that I paid a very high price for tour provided. after reporting the experience, I was provided with a partial refund, which I appreciate. So I recommend tourists to get informed about the security of the region and the feasibility of conducting the tour before booking.
The mountain trip with Tevan was great. Everything was very well organized. Tevan took care of every detail, he was a great tour guide with a lot of experience, knowledge and humor. I wholeheartedly recommend trips with Tevan.
What a WONDERFUL experience it was! Booking on Viator was a breeze and after that I believe my tour was organized by Ethio Travel and Tour (ETT) via the agent Malese, but executed by Simien Eco Tours, who provided the AWD vehicle (Toyota Landcruiser), the excellent/super prudent driver and the tour guide Amare (hopefully that’s the correct spelling). From a punctual pick up at our hotel to the drive up to meet the guide (and the friendly scout) and the tour/hike itself on the mountain, everything was handled with care by the team. Amare (the guide) was very professional, caring, knowledgeable and took the whole experience to a higher level by providing an overall phenomenal service. We saw animals, hiked, had lunch across from this enormous waterfall and gained knowledge on the wildlife and other curiosities about the area and Ethiopia overall. 10/10 experience that we’ll never forget! Can’t recommend it enough!
