I enjoyed a lovely day tour with Lillian and Claudio from Pinnacle Tours, who took us up the Dampier Peninsula. We visited Beagle Bay and the famous Shell Church. Our next stop was Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm and a lovely lunch and then on to One Arm Point. Our last stop was to visit the aboriginal community of Lombidina. Lillian’s commentary was very informative, I learnt a lot and Claudio’s coach driving was excellent. I recommend this tour with Lillian and Claudio.
This was a great day trip into a remote part of Australia that is so beautiful. We were royally treated by our guide and driver who had us laughing and fed us delicious food for morning and afternoon tea. The lunch at Cygnet Bay pearls was great with a wonderful view out over the ocean.
We had an amazing tour with Lillian and Claudio to the Dampier Peninsula. Beagle Bay's Sacred Heart Church was spectacular with its mother of pearl decorations. At Cygnet Bay we learnt heaps about the amazing Pearling history of Australia's oldest operating pearl farm. We also enjoyed a delicious barramundi lunch. The tour also included visits to several remote Aboriginal communities where we learnt about their arts, crafts and culture. The scenery was spectacular and our experiences unforgetable. Thank you Lillian and Claudio for sharing your amazing knowledge of the Dampier Peninsula.
This tour provided what was advertised. Yes it was a long day but there was lots to see and a long way to travel. Our guides were Lillian and Claudio. Well organised and attentive to guests needs. Lunch at Cygnet Bay was delicious and morning and afternoon teas enjoyable. Learnt so much about this region of Australia from a variety of different people.
Top driver experienced driver great guide knew such a lot from the start to the finish. Great variety of experiences. Lunch very satisfying good atmosphere clean. Good service. Such a shame previous maintenance on the door had not been checked as we had to go back to the depot pick up another bus later than planned. Luckily it did not break down further out on the road.
Great day out. Tour guide lilly was very informative. Good pace through the day. As we ran early a few other things thrown in. Over all good value
We had a great day on this tour. We learnt and saw a lot about the Dampier Peninsular. Lillian and Claudio were our guides and made the day fun and easy. They showed us some of their favourite places and served us lively morning and afternoon teas.
I can understand why some people could give this tour a 4 or 5 star rating, but for me some things were disappointing, especially the Dampier Peninsula having such a beautiful coastline and only catching glimpses of it. I believe they used to swim on this tour, but no longer. Also our bus was 40 minutes late in the morning. I did receive a call, but no apology from the driver. We had to wait until we got to Beagle Bay to get a working microphone, but to Pete’s credit he did go over all the stuff again. Now Beagle Bay has a very nice church made of crushed shells , and is a morning tea stop. Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm was very interesting, particularly since we had a very knowledgeable guide, Tamika. Barramundi lunch there was good, but not much salad. Next we went to Ardyaloon Aquaculture Farm to see some turtles and other interesting sea creatures. I asked the driver if we could stop at Round Rock Lookout to see views of the Buccaneer Archipelago and huge tidal movements. A visit to Lombadina Aboriginal Community was the last stop. I should complement our guide Peter who was very informative and an excellent driver.
Hi DerekHulme, thank you kindly for providing such detailed feedback, it helps us make improvements for future guests. We apologise for the shortcomings you experienced on the day, but we are glad Pete provided such a great service. We hope you will consider booking with us again. Thanks, Australian Pinnacle Tours.
A very informative bus trip on the way to Beagle Bay where we stopped for morning tea and got to view the shell church. This was amazing and the shell craftsmanship inside the church is brilliant and a must see. We then headed to cygnet pearl bay farm where we learnt about the pearl industry and harvested a pearl. This is a much more hands on working experience and was very enjoyable. We then enjoyed a lovely barramundi rice and salad lunch. We arrived at one arm point to see the trochus shell hatchery and various fish and shell fish in the tanks before heading to Lombadina. We loved this community and Debbie was very informative and took us on a tour of her community before we had afternoon tea and headed back to Broome. This was a long day, but well worth the tour on the bus, rather than driving yourself. We saw lots of wildlife, horses, bulls, wallabies, donkeys and a wedge tailed eagle on the way back. A great cultural experience.
Thank you annasD1186AL for such a detailed, 5-star review! We are so thrilled to hear you had such a memorable experience and enjoyed your time in Broome. We hope to welcome you back on your next adventure. Thanks, Rebekah - Australian Pinnacle Tours.
A very interesting day with engaging guide Lillian and driver Claudio. The gorgeous shell church at Beagle Bay is even more beautiful in person. I really enjoyed the demonstration by Terry Hunter at Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm and learning more about pearling at a real working farm. The lunch was delicious too. Jasirah's talk at the trochus hatchery was fascinating. And it was a real privilege to listen to Debbie talk about life at Lombadina. Although it was a tight schedule, I didn't feel rushed. Even though it was a long day, I still loved it all!
