Five different stops,...

Five different stops, really interesting places to visit along the way, best buffet lunch including trout. Totally worth it. Best way to travel between Cusco and Puno.

Sun routes 🌅

Max was our guide throughout the day. The experience was very warm without losing professionalism. Delighted with the experience. I am left above all with the meaning of Ayni as a principle of the Andean community ❤️

Bad experience

We have just Finished 4 amazing weeks in Peru and the only two bad experiences we had, both involved Inca Express. First we had booked a 6 hour bus from Arequipa. This bus was actually okay with good wide, reclining seats. However the temperature in the bus was 35 degrees Celsius for more than 5 hours of the trip, which was unbearable. When we asked the bus guide there was nothing to do about it… A couple of days later we had a booking for Route of the Sun (Puno-Cusco). The day before, we received a mail from the agency that we had to pay an extra 20 US dollars for pick up and drop off, even though we had booked and paid for everything on their own website. It made no sense, but at that time we didn’t really feel we had no other option than just paying. However, have we knew from the beginning that we would have had to pay 40 dollars, we wouldn’t have booked this, as a taxi is like only 4-5 dollars. Well, we paid the extra 20 dollars as we wouldn’t risk to miss this trip. Tickets are popular and it was supposed to be a beautiful trip. Booking for this trip was made 10 months prior, so we were really surprised to experience that we had gotten the worst 4 tickets in the bus, with almost no view or leg space. The bus service lady didn’t really care about our complaints, but we were lucky that the guide gave up his two seats, so at least we got two okay seats. The trip itself was okay, with some interesting shops, but also some stops lwhere it only felt like we “had” to spend some money. When we arrived to Cusco, surely the only ones who hadn’t a driver waiting was us, even though we had been forced to pay extra. After some complaints and some phone calls, a driver arrived and drove us to the hotel. He didn’t know where we were going, so it was just a driver the guides had called. When we got to the hotel I wrote Inca Express customer service and complained. They apologized and informed us, that their booking department would get back to me within some days on mail. Today, three weeks later I have heard nothing from them and my messages on WhatsApp are not looked at…… surprise 🙄 Best advice is to stay away from Inca Express and look somewhere else

Visit

I wish we had some more time to visit Raqchi and the last site (the pyrami dwe did not even go to) rather than stay in therestaurant (which was OK but of no special interest). Maybe propose the same version but with a pic-nic instead, to gain some time for visits.

Comfortable bus in good condition

Having no other choice but the road (the train is overpriced) to get to Puno from Cusco, we chose the "daytime with excursion" version. It won't remain the best memory of our trip to Peru, but it is perfectly fine. The children loved the last stop where they painted ceramic bulls and left with them.

Much more than just getting from A to B

Very courteous. Informative. Very delicious food. It would have been nice to have a little more time at the stops. Unfortunately, my seat wasn't working quite right. All in all, highly recommended.

Top experience!

My boyfriend and I took the Inka-express bus from Puno to Cusco. A snack pack and water was provided. You could also use the free coffee and tea on board. The bus was very punctual. When there was a possible delay, it was announced. The guide, Elizabeth, characterized herself as very enthusiastic and gave clear explanations at each stop. She also managed the timing very well which made it very pleasant. Her passion for Peru was very clearly felt. Despite the long drive, the hours flew by! So our big thanks for Elizabeth (guide) and the driver!

Alternative road baita between Cusco and Puno

Excellent option for those going from Cusco to Puno and not only want to cross the highway but rather stop to know the interior of the country. Very good inclusive lunch, with varied free buffet and dessert included. Very informative guide. Beautiful landscapes. I highly recommend this tour.

Very comfortable bus

The coach was extremely comfortable, with large reclining seats, USB charging points, and reliable high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the journey. We were provided with a bottle of water and some snacks, and the lunch buffet offered a good variety of food. One aspect I wasn't so keen on was how the entrance fees for the attractions were handled. I didn't mind paying to visit some of the sites, but at the start of the trip the guide collected the total cost for all of the attractions in one go. This made us feel as though we had to pay for and visit every attraction, rather than having the flexibility to choose which ones we wanted to see. Overall I would recommend
