Amazing experience, Neal did an excellent job sharing his love, passion for his culture and the history of the Inca. I wouldn’t change a thing, thank you.
Amazing experience, Alpaca expeditions is such a great company. Every detail was organised, which made the whole trip so perfect. Soledad was our guide and she was so long, caring and knowledgeable. Thank you Soledad for making this experience so special.
Dont do it. Peru is a country that doesn't tolerate fun. Go if you are obedient and conformist
Amazing experience. Special thanks to Ronalda and Daniel. Was very patient and a wonderful guide.
First class operation all the way. They communicated very well and continually prior to our arrival in Peru. Their attention to detail and reliability about pickup from local hotel was comforting, Their website is very accurate and helps you understand the process. They handle all the details like the many bus, train and trail passes. It makes it very easy. Our lead guide, Nilton, was the very best. He spoke great English, had tremendous emotional intelligence, enthusiasm, knowledge and humor. You want him as your guide. The assistant guides were great as well. The food at every meal was delicious and well prepared. The camping was “glamping”. Your tents, air mattresses and sleeping bags were all laid out and ready. You could even take a shower in a building. Spartan but more than adequate after a long hot hike. The first 2.5 miles were challenging and I consider myself pretty fit. But, don’t let this scare you. Our group had young teenage girls, 14 and and 9, as well as a couple in their late 60s from Mexico City who were not athletes but just normal nice people. Everyone made it no problem. The guides encourage you and you take plenty of breaks. When you finally reach Machu Picchu you feel rewarded and appreciate the beauty more than people who simply take a bus. Alpaca Expeditions clearly cares for all of their Peruvian staff. Feels good to support this company. The best!!
Fantastic guides--Nilton and Yefferson were the best! I wouldn't do Machu Picchu any other way!
We had a wonderful experience on our short 2day/1ight Inca trek with camping. Valentin, our tour guide, was excellent. He paced the group excellently, gave us clear guidance on how the days would go and answered all questions. The food was a real highlight, many thanks to Soledad for her hard work. Thanks to our porters too who made our journey so enjoyable by having everything set up when we arrived at camp especially providing added comforts like hot water on arrival to the camp site. It was much needed! 💕🇵🇪
My overall experience was great. I have to give a special shout out to our tour guide, Nilto. He is extremely passionate about his culture and history and explained things to us in depth. The company also made great arrangements. The food was amazing with the options catering to everyone. I opted for the 2 day short hike with overnighr camping instead of hotel The only feedback I would have is for the camping to be at a better spot with good views. Otherwise the arrangements were great.
Hard to put into words this incredible experience. Our guides Lucio and Marco were so knowledgeable and fun to hike with. We learned so much about the region as we made our way to Machu Picchu. They were also amazing at taking care of all of the logistics for a really stress free experience. 10/10 all around.
Beautiful experience shared with very nice people and an excellent guide who knew how to overcome several difficulties.
