Great time. I got up successfully after a few tries, and got up almost every time after that. I had time for a little more than 20 attempts. They gave us 12 foot longboards to use. They also provided a rash guard shirt and shoes, so you don’t need to bring those. There is a grassy area where family members who are not surfing can watch.

From beginning to end, the experience was unforgettable! Our first time surfing, we thought it would be overwhelming, but Sean our extremely knowledgeable instructor made it all a breeze. Not only was he very informed and made instructions very clear, he made the experience super fun and got us addicted to surfing! 10/10 would recommend!

Surf Club Maui is top-notch! Finding a business in Maui that responds quickly can be a real challenge, but their whole team was super responsive and helpful over text from the start. Our trainer was fantastic—patient, knowledgeable, and made us feel confident in the water—and the photos from our photographer turned out awesome. It was an incredible experience overall, and we’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I (50s) and my teen daughter wanted to try surfing. We booked this tour and had a great day. There were 5 in our group. Our instructor showed us how to stand up while on land, then took us to the water. You do have to carry your own board down to the beach and back. Once in the water he gave everyone several chances to catch a wave and help get us going. Such a fun time!

Such a fun experience! Bryan, was the best instructor! He was very patient with everyone and remained calm when we ran into a situation w unexpected fishermen. He ensured we all remained safe and showed us the best time! Mahalo guys! We had a blast!

My adult disabled son wanted to take a surf lesson on our trip to Maui. I contacted Surf Club Maui and spoke with Suzie. I explained my son’s abilities and the type of personality learns best from. She set us up with Brendon who was marvelous with my son. He spent most of 2 hours in the water with Brendon and loved it. What was also nice was that others on the Surf Maui team were also friendly and engaged. This included the photographer team too. Overall a wonderful, compassionate, patient, group of talented and enthusiastic surfing teachers.

This was the best part of our trip; Surf lessons for my 13 year old grandson and his friend. The boys had so much fun and their instructors were perfect-engaging, knowledgeable and safe while still challenging the boys to try fun stuff. Having a photographer capture such great images was something I hadn’t expected and will cherish!

Great family surfing - instructor was great. Bonus was a lot of sea turtles swimming with us. Recommend good water shoes and long sleeve rash guards for adults - they do provide if you don’t have any - it’s shallow which is good for poor swimmers but can be a hard landing if you don’t land correctly.
