The staff were so friendly from the moment we walked in, and by the time we left we felt like family. Thank you to Andrew for being a fantastic instructor who pushed us to be brave but never pushed us too much. We caught waves!

Maui Wave Riders was absolutely fabulous! Our experience was so much better than the large group surf lessons offered elsewhere. George was amazing—patient, encouraging, and genuinely cared about our kids, treating them like they were his own. Our kids had such an incredible time during their first lesson that we came back and booked another lesson with George on a different day. He made learning to surf fun, safe, and memorable, and helped build their confidence in the water. If you’re on the fence about booking, just do it! The personalized attention and quality of instruction are worth every penny. We couldn’t recommend Maui Wave Riders and George more highly!

Our Teen G’Daughters Absolutely Loved These Surf Lessons and Their Guide! He was extremely kind , patient and knowledgeable being a Surfer himself for more than 20 years! This is a must do for any age when visiting Maui!! They also offer pictures for purchase which are amazing as well!

Amazing, and tons of fun. Our instructor, Noah, gave easy-to-follow instructions, and he was patient, funny, and all-around enjoyable throughout. Waves could get crowded at times, and there was lots of falling while trying to catch waves (there are rocks in the area), but being able to ride waves by the end of the lesson was a trip highlight!

We loved having our own instructor for the two of us. Knowledgeable, easy to follow; he knew the good spots. We both got up on the first try! Go early in the morning before wind picks up.

We cannot recommend this enough! We have young kids and Zoom and Koa were absolutely incredible with our family. Our five year-old caught 15 waves, half of them by herself. We learned a lot, had a blast, and were completely safe the entire time. We HIGHLY recommend!

This is our second time using Maui Waveriders, and their lessons once again were top notch. Our surf instructor Wavedaddy was friendly and provided excellent two hour surf lessons for my wife and son. There were few other surfers so the beach wasn’t crowded, and the waves were all a nice medium size. He even gave me his surf shoes so I could take my daughter out alongside my wife/son’s lessons. The price was reasonable compared to many other surf schools, and it was well worth it. We’ll be coming here again!
