History lesson in the factory.

We walked from the hotel which was about as far out of town as I would want to walk. The museum were strict about bags and passports which had to be original not copies. Free locker for bag. Our guide, thomas, was well informed and delivered the history in powerful ways. Not a tour of a factory, it was a history lesson in the factory, which was excellent.

A better title would be Krakow during WW2

Although the trip refers to Schindler, there is relatively little mention of him in the talk (perhaps we were unlucky). Instead the focus of the tour is Krakow during WW2, this was still interesting but not what we were expecting. To be honest you could get this from the museum without need of the guide

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. The museum’s permanent exhibition is officially dedicated to "Krakow Under Nazi Occupation 1939-1945," so it covers the broader wartime history alongside Oskar Schindler's story. We apologize if this wasn't clear beforehand. Our guides aim to add valuable context, but we appreciate your perspective. Kind regards, ExcitingKrakow – Reservation Department

Not the enriching experience we had hoped.

Our guided tour moved at pace, too quickly to see or hear many parts of the exhibition. But also he merely replayed what was written , so added no value. So why the low score - you may ask? Well being blunt, the exhibition adds very little to the Schindler story, in fact questioned the validity of some parts inaccurately according to my independent research. For example, the gold ring presented to his workers was made up and a Spielberg’s imagination. Well not according the cast held at the Melbourne Holocaust Museum in Australia. There is nothing left of the factory - it’s all gone. Only artefacts remain, which was an unexpected disappointment. Little mention of the gold maxi badge, his role as a spy for the Germans on his country of birth (Czech). Little on the working of the factory and overall a lot of old, out of date/low lever media presentation material. Our most disappointing Krakow experience during our 5 day stay. Sorry if you work there and read this - but you need to up your game - a lot. Footnote - once you’ve finished the tour with a guide you can’t return to pick up all the missed sections. We paid £25, tickets at 60zl (£12) the guide added nothing.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry the tour did not meet your expectations. The museum focuses broadly on Krakow under Nazi occupation, which surprises many expecting a strict focus on Schindler. We apologize if the guide's pace felt rushed and will address this. Kind regards, ExcitingKrakow – Reservation Department

Great guide , brilliant place, consider a smaller group tour

A very interesting place - absolutely worth seeing. The guide we had was excellent - well informed and knowledgeable. The group size was very large which is particularly problematic for this tour. The museum is full of narrow and small rooms which did not accommodate a group of our size, meaning much of the group often couldn't see what the guide was gesturing towards. I'd suggest you explore a smaller group tour

Dear Guest, Thank you for your valuable feedback! We are glad you found the museum fascinating and our guide excellent. We sincerely apologize for the discomfort caused by the group size. Schindler's Factory has many narrow passages, and we are actively working with the venue to optimize our group sizes for a better experience. We hope to welcome you again! Very crowded, mostly WW2 info, not Schindler, but still great

Overall, I’m glad we visited Schindler’s Factory Museum, and I would probably still do it again, but there were definitely some frustrations. The museum itself is very well done, and our guide was excellent. There is a huge amount of information about WWII, Kraków under Nazi occupation, and life during that period, so if you’re interested in the broader historical context, it’s absolutely worth seeing. The exhibits are immersive and informative, and you can tell a lot of effort went into the museum. That said, a few things could have been much better. First, I would strongly recommend booking directly through the official museum website if possible. We booked through a private company, and it was definitely overpriced for what we got. The meeting process before the tour was also very stressful. The person managing the meeting point was late, and because of that everyone started panicking and wondering if we had been left behind. It was chaotic and not a great way to start the experience. As for the museum itself, I was expecting more information specifically about Oskar Schindler and what he actually did. Instead, most of the museum focuses on WWII in general, with Schindler himself only really featured in the last room. Unfortunately, that part felt rushed because the guide moved through it very quickly. One other downside is how crowded the museum gets. Our guide was great, but it was sometimes hard to follow, hear, and even see because of how packed everything was. There really isn’t enough space for a group of 25–30 people to comfortably stay together while also navigating around individual visitors. So overall: worth visiting, especially for the historical context and the quality of the museum itself, but be prepared for crowds, a somewhat hectic tour setup, and less Schindler-specific content than you might expect.

Thank you for the review and praising our guide. We apologize for the stressful meeting process and the delay; we are working to improve our organization. Regarding the content, the museum is officially designed to focus on the wartime history of Krakow, but we will review our pacing to ensure the Schindler section feels less rushed. We appreciate your valuable feedback! kind regards, ExcitingKrakow Team

Beautiful experience, superb guide!

The voucher does not need to be exchanged at the ticket office; just show up at the meeting point. The ticket office knows nothing about tickets not issued directly by the museum. The girl who accompanied us (I believe her name was Nadja) was wonderful, knowledgeable, passionate in her explanations, and spoke perfect English! I recommend this experience to everyone. In fact, you do not see the factory, but it is a true museum to retrace the events that led to the facts that we all unfortunately know. It is truly worth seeing.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear you had a great experience and that Nadja was such a passionate and knowledgeable guide. Thank you also for sharing helpful tips about the voucher process and the museum's historical focus for future guests. We truly appreciate your recommendation! kind regards, ExcitingKrakow Team

Schindler’s Factory visit

You must take photo id with you or you cannot get in . Passport or Driving licence. I did not read the small print and we were not allowed to go in with the guide but he arranged for our jump the queue tickets to be what’s app over to us and we went back to our hotel picked our passports up and returned later to do a solo tour . We had an amazing time despite our mistake and the guide and Viator were brilliant sorting things out for us . I highly recommend this company for all your trips and exertions.

It was not a...

It was not a factory tour for me, as hardly anything from the factory was shown. It depicted the lives of the people in the city during the occupation. The connection to Schindler's factory seemed marginal to me, even though the exhibits were assembled in part of the factory's premises.

Resposta do operador

Thank you for your feedback. The museum is housed in the former factory, but its permanent exhibition is intentionally dedicated to the wartime history of Kraków and its residents under Nazi occupation. We appreciate your perspective and will ensure our tour descriptions make this historical focus even clearer for future guests. kind regards, ExcitingKrakow Team
