The most incredible experience. The woman was so kind and had a beautiful home. We were able to learn how to make ravioli which was delicious by the way and then just sat and chatted. I couldn’t recommend more.
Today we made our own ravioli, the couple we were with were so cute. We got bruschetta, chips, nuts and bubbly for starter. Self-made ravioli (of course😄) with red wine for main course. Then we got a homemade dessert, espresso and limoncello! The evening was a success and we thank you very much for this experience 🌞
Roberta is lovely and we even got to meet her dog! We cooked ravioli but I’m not sure I would use the word cooked. She did all the pre-prep, then we just put the filling on the pasta, sealed, and cut the raviolis. Then she cooked them. For me personally I like bold and flavorful sauces with my pasta, and this sauce was just butter and sage. It wasn’t my favorite. My mom, however, loved it. I think it all depends on personal preference of pasta and flavors. But we didn’t actually do any cooking. Unsure it’s worth the cost.
This was an amazing experience. Roberta made us feel welcome in her beautiful home. SHE showed us how to make homemade ravioli, treated us with bruschetta and many other treats. I would highly recommend this experience.
I couldn’t recommend this class in La Spezia enough. Donata welcomed us into her lovely home and was so kind and welcoming. She was incredibly knowledgeable about local culture and cuisine, and involved us in the whole process. We both learnt so much. We ate very well, with complementary appetisers and drinks. We’re beyond grateful for the fun and authentic experience, and we wish Donata and Claudio all the best.
Julia did a great job in our ravioli cooking class. She had all the prep work done when we got there. Making the ravioli dough was much easier than I expected. She took the time to show each of us how to mix than kneed the dough. We then worked on the stuffing for the ravioli. She also explained how to do different variations of stuffing. She showed us how to make two different sauces for the ravioli. Each was simple and delicious. At the end we had an enjoyable meal that we prepared and cooked ourselves. I highly recommend Julia and this cooking class for truly authentic meal.
This was an amazing experience. Roberta and Riki where wonderful hosts. The meal prep was so enjoyable and hands-on. We learned how to make homemade pasta and tiramisu! They went above and beyond there duties. When we arrived at the train station. The taxis where on strike and ww had no way to get to the host's house.Roberta said no worries and she picked us up at the train station and her husband drove use back at the end of our wonderful meal!
Daniela was very sweet, welcoming, accommodating, and knowledgeable. It was nice getting to see a slice of Italian life with she and her husband Gianni. We made so much more food than just pasta and tiramisu, plus she took us to get snacks before we ever got to her apartment. She has a lovely home, you feel like you're visiting family. My one complaint was that it was so hot, it made it difficult to enjoy the food. The doors out onto her patio were open the whole time. It made it a bit difficult to enjoy the food as much as I would have otherwise. Be prepared to likely do some walking to meet her, I walked about 15 min from the train station to the designated place. She drove me back to the train station when we were finished. Overall a lovely experience that I would do again.
Costanza and her parents were the perfect hosts - they went above and beyond to make this an amazing experience for my wife and I and are two teens. It was fantastic to interact with an Italian family and learn about their culinary traditions, do some hands-on cooking, and have an AMAZING meal. The time flew by. In a two week vacation full of amazing, memorable experiences, this was absolutely at or near the top. Just... perfectd.
This was the most amazing experience and I would very highly recommend this to anyone without any hesitation. My wife and I wanted to do a cooking class while staying in Vernazza, Cinque Terre and found Cesarine. They matched us with Paola and I am so happy they did. She and her family were so welcoming and pleasant and we had so much fun with the experience. She taught us to make ravioli, Tagliatelle, and tiramisu from scratch and then we sat down for dinner and drinks with her, her husband, and son and had so much great conversation and laughs. We will remember this experience forever! You must do it!
