You are going to have a good time with Alan. He is super passionate about Xochimilco and the little axolotl babies. The mezcal was delicious too, haha. You are going to have a good time with Alan. When he speaks, you can feel the love and pride he has for his hometown and the little blind babies of the river. With Alan and the mezcal shots he gives you, you are going to leave feeling great, haha.
An excellent experience overall to see the quieter, more peaceful waterways while learning all about its history, the history of Mexico City, and the natural environment. Going deeper into the xochimilco than regular tourist boats, we saw so many birds right up close. Alan was a great guide and this trip is a perfect mix of seeing the beautiful environment in a more personal and relaxing way, while still having some fun and trying mezcal and tequila on the boat.
Alan was a very knowledgeable and kind host. He knew a lot about the history of the area and the Axolotls. I would recommend this tour!
We really enjoyed this experience! Alan and his colleagues were very friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the local culture and ecosystems. We truly feel that we had a completely unique experience on this tour vs the other boats on Xochimilco. We had a lot of fun and learned a lot about the people and animals who live in this area. We are very grateful to the guides for teaching us!
Excellent tour! Tour guide Alan was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the axolotl’s. We purposely chose this tour because it went to both the island of the dolls and the axolotl sanctuary. Ila d was not necessarily rated as “party boat”. But with the tequila and Mezcal and Paloma’s free flowing, we ended up having a lot unintentional party fun!
This was such a fun experience! The guide, Alan, was super knowledgeable about the area and the animals. The boat activities and drinks were also great. Highly recommend over some of the more basic tours.
Very friendly treatment, entertaining for children, very quiet everything. I would recommend adding a little more history to the site as it is very interesting.
Alan is an amazing guide. The entire experience exceeded our expectations. The boat ride was both serene and enjoyable with history and activities woven together. The Island of Dolls was unbelievable, and Alan is an entertaining storyteller. The tequila was smooth and the adventure unforgettable!
This was a fun way to spend a morning & get out of the hustle of Mexico City. Alan provided interesting insight on the history & development of the area, along with some local lore related the the Island of the Dolls & Axolotl habitats. The communication around the meeting site was great, as well. We got to try a few mezcals & some roasted ants & cricket salt
Our guide Alan was very informative and fun. The intentionally smaller group was nice and more personal, while still being fun playing some Mexican games, tasting tequila and mezcal. We visited Doll Island and the Axolotl sanctuary, and learned a lot.
