The best organised and thrilling trip we have ever had, it delivered everything we wanted from this experience, our friendly and knowledgeable guide Tyler deserves a special mention. He knew the spots that delivered the bears, both black and brown and he networked with the other guides in the ares to finish our trip with a young humpback calf breaching. Add in seals, sea lions, bald eagles and a lonely deer and you have an idea of the full day we had. The boat deserves a special mention (and the delicious food), the boat was a tremendous thrill and very suited to the conditions, if in doubt about this particular trip, just do it, you won’t regret a single moment
Hey Martin, that is so great to hear that you had such a thrilling and enjoyable trip with Tyler! Thank you so much for taking the time to share this detailed review with us.
Brilliant trip out of Campbell River . Small boat with our excellent guide , Jessica , who was delightful and very knowledgable . Saw three brown bears and two grizzlies plus bald eagles and sea lions . Tasty packed lunch which consisted of wraps , granola bars , dried fruit and biscuits . All of which seemed to be home made . The scenery was amazing . Well worth the money
We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip! Jessica will be thrilled to hear your review, we will make sure to share with her.
Our trip was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. A warm welcome, comfortable boat and fabulous lunch. Our guide, Brad, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the natural world and we learnt a great deal from him. We were lucky enough to see black bears, seals, sea lions and even a grizzly. All that plus the stunningly beautiful scenery.

Zoe is a fantastic guide. We had a great time learning about the animals, ecosystems and history of the area. Beautiful wildlife and scenery! Lunch was great too!
So happy to hear you had a great tour with Zoe! We agree, she is fantastic! Thank you so much for the review and for joining us.
Excellent tour in small group - a relaxing trip with many opportunities to see wildlife - bears foraging on the shore, orca, seals, sea lions. Beautiful scenery, we got in close to waterfalls. It was great to go before the busy tourist season as we hardly saw another boat.
So glad to hear you enjoyed your tour and saw so much wildlife! The waterfalls are pretty amazing aren't they! Thank you for the review and for choosing us.
We had 5 days to spend in Campbell River and also wanted to see the waters in the area so we booked this trip. Guide and boat pilot Geoff was born and raised here and knew a lot to tell and had an answer to all questions. We have seen quite a few inlets (fjords) and 3 black bears, a grizzly mother with 2 puppies and several waterfalls (lunch at the farthest point). On the way back also sea lions and a group of about 20 dolphins. Finally, sea lions and seals against a backdrop of mirror-smooth water, forests and snow-capped mountains. Whales have unfortunately not seen. Inside the boat you sit dry and you can sit on the aft deck or upper deck. We can recommend this trip to everyone
Thank you for joining us and taking the time to share a review with us! I am glad to hear you had a great trip.
Excellent boat and knowledgeable captain. Lots of wildlife; black bears, bald eagles, seals, orca, sea lions, waterfalls and sunshine.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your tour! Thank you for sharing your review.
Can't reccomend these guys enough, myself and my partner went on the spring watch boat tour on a covered boat, captained by the wonderful Bex! Bex was incredibly knowledgeable, realy enthusiastic and got everyone on the boat excited/ involved. We were lucky enough to see bald eagles, steller sea lions, californian sea lion, black bear, grizzly bear and then to top it off a black bear with 2 young cubs! It was truly magical. We were very close to seing a pod of Orcas on the way back, Bex had radioed to find out if there had been any sightings and so we diverted off on the way back, unfortunately we just missed out on seing them. But we were super appreciative that Bex tried for us, especially as it wasnt a whale tour! Also to note the food offered was really tasty, freshly prepared, didnt expect it to be as good as it was. So if you're even considering it, book now!
Thank you so much for your enthusiastic review! We’re thrilled you and your partner had such a magical experience with Bex—her passion and knowledge really shine through. Seeing those incredible animals up close, especially the bear with her cubs, sounds unforgettable. We’re glad Bex went the extra mile trying to find the orcas for you, even beyond the usual route. And we’re glad the fresh food was a tasty surprise. Thanks again for encouraging others to join us!
Excellent day trip. Tour guide was very knowledgeable (Beck) told us lots about the different wild life we saw and made sure we got close enough to see without scaring them. We saw bears, sea lions and eagles as well as plenty of waterfalls. Lunch provided was exceptional quality
Thanks for sharing your review! We’re delighted Bex made your day trip both informative and respectful to the wildlife. Bears, sea lions, eagles, and beautiful waterfalls all in one day—what an amazing adventure. We’re also glad the lunch stood out as a delicious highlight!
Bex, our guide was wonderful- very personable and knowledgeable. She was also very safety conscious. The bear sighting we experienced were terrific. We were able to get quite close without disturbing the bears. The scenery was stunning! The waterfalls that we saw were beautiful! We had a lovely lunch on the back deck of the boat. It was a lovely day. I would recommend any tour from this company.
Thank you for sharing your experience! We're so glad Bex made the tour safe, enjoyable, and full of terrific wildlife moments. It sounds like a perfect day with stunning scenery and a relaxing lunch—your recommendation means a lot to us!
