Nós estamos liderando nossas aclamadas caminhadas guiadas do Patrimônio Cristão por mais de 25 anos, e trabalhamos com uma equipe dedicada de guias locais para trazer uma experiência de caminhada em pequenos grupos que é pessoal, envolvente e inesquecível. Nosso objetivo é dar-lhe uma sensação para alguns dos pontos mais icônicos e influentes de Cambridge, tanto na pista batida quanto fora. Nossa abordagem é um pouco diferente de um passeio turístico padrão: acreditamos que as ideias importam, e nos concentramos em como um pequeno número de grandes ideias moldaram a universidade ao longo de oito séculos. Tendo juntos histórias sobre os personagens de Cambridge que transformaram o mundo (como Isaac Newton, William Wilberforce e John Milton), nossos guias irão guiá-lo através de tópicos como a emergência da universidade de mosteiros cristãos, a Reforma Protestante, o desenvolvimento da ciência moderna, movimentos para o estado de direito e liberdade religiosa, e a campanha para abolir o comércio de escravos britânico.

Observe que o itinerário abaixo fornece um exemplo de lugares frequentemente visitados no passeio, mas a rota pode variar para lhe proporcionar o melhor passeio possível em qualquer dia.
Começamos na Igreja Redonda, o edifício da igreja mais estranho (e, pensamos, mais bonito) de Cambridge, que precede a universidade. A igreja abriga uma exposição e filme de 20 minutos, e o acesso a estes estão incluídos em bilhetes guiados.
Geralmente começamos nos aventurando até o Rio Cam, onde é possível ter uma ideia clara das origens da cidade na Ponte Madalena.
Os passeios às vezes são capazes de ir dentro de 1 - 2 faculdades, mas isso nem sempre é possível e não podemos garantir isso. Magdalene College, onde C.S. Lewis foi baseado durante seu tempo em Cambridge, também pode ser visto do Quayside.
Paramos para admirar o exterior da capela e do portão do St John’s College.
Nós vemos a porta da Trinity College, e a maçã de Isaac Newton.
Passamos algum tempo cercados pelos edifícios centrais da universidade: a igreja da universidade, o Senate House e a livraria Cambridge University Press, bem como o belo Gonville and Caius College.

Be careful of traffic in crowded areas. Helpful to have a simple map of the central area. Lots of information to take in about Cambridge history and amusing stories.

What an excellent experience this was! I spent July travelling around the UK and attended several walking tours in several locations, but this one in Cambridge was the highlight! So informative, and such a fantastic tour guide. The unfortunate thing is I forget the first name of the guide who took us out in the late afternoon session on July 16th. No reason not to recommend this tour. This was my second visit to Cambridge, and this time it was much more fascinating and inspiring thanks to this tour. I not only learned about the history and practical aspects behind the pretty buildings and the city, but also gained a bigger picture of the countless stories behind them. I feel very lucky that my partner happened to find and choose this tour!

David was an excellent tour guide. I really enjoyed this tour; he had a really deep understanding of Reformation and monarchical history at the time of the Reformation, which really enriched the experience. He gave us all the surrounding historical context of the Reformation—with Charles, the Puritans, Mary I, Elizabeth, and Henry VIII—which really helped us understand what we were seeing. As someone who is very interested in Christian and English history, this was excellent.

Ian Cooper is a legend - an excellent tour guide! He just needs to speak more clearly and less fast. He has no doubt said his guide words hundreds of times. But he needs to utter them as if he's saying them for the fist time. If he articulates better, his impact would be even greater.

Mary Forster-Lewis, our Cambridge Tour Guide was incredibly entertaining, informative and even engaged our 13 year old and 11 year old granddaughters. While there were hordes of tourists clogging the streets, she knew all the quiet alley ways and sites to make our experience private, easy to hear and safe! She could describe the education process in England so we Americans could understand the differences from ours. She related countless historical tidbits and told engaging stories.

Leans quite heavy on a Christian viewpoint - a little beyond what's necessary to describe the history of the university. That said John was a terrific guide and very knowledgeable, with excellent stories. About the right length and covered the main colleges.
