Amazing day Kept.on time by our fabulous guide emanuelle We saw everything snd learnt so much - cant recommend enough
Very prompt. The guide was informative and friendly. Driver did a great job. Worth the trip Can’t leave Romania without seeing some castles
Tour is very interesting. Difficult for seniors and people with mobility issues. Lots of steps and hills. Must have taken over 10,000 steps that day. Driver Costi was great. Guide Marius was average. If you are up to it, it is a great tour.
No contact calls from TripAdvisor so we didn't manage to make the trip. We had no contact tact number to ring etc etc
Really good tour, keeping the group on track, very knowledgeable, super happy!
Dear Marta, Thank you so much for your wonderful 5-star review! We are thrilled to hear that you had a great time on our tour and that you felt well looked after. Our guides work incredibly hard to keep everything perfectly on track and to share their knowledge with our guests, so your kind words really mean a lot to the whole team. It was a true pleasure having you on board, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure in the future! Best regards, The One Excellence Tours Team
PROS This was a good opportunity to see a lot of things in a short amount of time. The scenery is very beautiful and the tour guide gave interesting facts about the towns and general history enroute. Bran Castle was very interesting and beautiful and Peles Castle was a real spectacle. Our guide actually gave us the tour round Peles Castle and he knew a lot of very interesting facts and pointed out various things. CONS You travel over 400km in a day so far more than half of the day was on a coach (7+hrs). The double-decker coach was full so every seat was taken and I don't think there was a toilet on board. There is no eating or drinking on the coach, and with a 07:00 departure I was starving by the time we got to the first stop (Bran Castle) but didn't have time to eat. If you want to visit the castles you have to pay extra for entry and there is barely enough time to satisfactorily see things because you have to get back on the coach to go to the next destination. The passageways in Bran Castle are very narrow; only wide enough for one person at a time so it does feel a bit like you are herded round by the hoards. It is also not as big or impressive as I thought it would be (still very interesting and beautiful though). Brasov was pretty much a lunch-stop and I was underwhelmed by the recommended venue (La Ceaun).
Dear Sarah, Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and constructive review. We are glad you enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the rich history shared by our guide, and the inside tour of Peles Castle! Covering three major highlights (Peles, Bran, and Brasov) in a single day does indeed mean a long journey of over 400 km. We try to offer this at the most competitive rate possible—often costing less than a basic round-trip train ticket between Bucharest and Brasov—while managing complex logistics to maximize your time at each stop. Because it is a packed itinerary, our schedule is tight, and we always advise guests in our pre-tour details to bring snacks for the morning drive. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the restaurant recommendation in Brasov. We want our guests to have the best culinary experience, so we will certainly instruct our guiding team to offer a wider variety of independent options rather than recommending a single venue, allowing everyone to find a spot that suits their taste. Thank you again for helping us improve, and we hope you left Romania with wonderful memories of our beautiful castles! Best regards, The One Excellence Tours Team
Trip had a busy schedule and we knew it. So no problem. But for anyone with more time, would recommend staying in Brasov and making the castle trip(s) from there. Everything worked OK, but the price of castle tickets is a little bit difficult to understand. And no receipt was given. The music/radio in bus was terrible. Fortunately fell asleep many times and this way escaped listening to it.
Dear Jussi, Thank you for your 4-star review. We are glad that the busy schedule worked out well for your family and that you found the trip okay. Regarding the ticket prices, everything was fully explained and transparent. In our email exchange from June 10th, you explicitly confirmed and ordered a package for "3 adults + 1 student", which our guide prepared exactly as requested to ensure your family skipped the massive lines at the gates. For a full-day, 12-hour excursion covering three major destinations for a base price of just €21 per person, the value provided is exceptional. If you or your family prefer to control the background music or travel at a completely different pace, we always recommend booking a private tour instead. Safe travels ahead! Best regards, The One Excellence Tours Team
Much better than I imagined, both the cities and the monuments, food, etc.
Kind of weird that you have to pay €30 extra to have a guide for a tour that you already paid for, and apparently for a tour guide who “loves to share information”. The description was very misleading. Would recommend finding someone else who will guide you on the tour without forcing you to pay extra once you board the bus. Was not a great experience.
Dear Traveler, To be absolutely clear: we do not charge any extra fees for our tour guides. Our onboard guide's commentary is 100% included in the base price. While some other companies might charge extra for guiding, we never do. The €30 you paid on board was strictly for your official castle entrance ticket, which is clearly listed as optional and not included in our description. We understand that TripAdvisor allows anyone to write anything, but accusing us of charging extra for a guide is simply factually incorrect. We are fully transparent about what is included (transport, guide, and audio app), and the choice to buy admission tickets to enter the castles is always entirely yours. Best regards, The One Excellence Tours Team
Excellent choice of castles and Brasov is a lovely town. Edward the guide was very informative and patient with us all.

Our team always strives to make these long day trips as smooth and engaging as possible for everyone on board. Thank you for choosing One Excellence Tours, and we hope to welcome you back to Romania for more adventures in the future! Warm regards, The One Excellence Tours Team
