Baden-Baden Auto-Guided Audio Tour em Inglês

Excellent commentary and introduction to Baden-Baden. A good route taking us to places we wouldn’t have found otherwise. We liked how the detours were described so you could choose to go or not without overly extending the tour. We would have liked to be warned we needed to download an app so we could have done it while we had access to WiFi. We ended up downloading the app and tour waving our phones in the air to get signal and it took forever. Also one of our party , who had paid, couldn’t download the app at all.

Good directions, clear and informative. Could have had more details on historical aspects.

Amazing tour ! You get a great overview tour of Baden-Baden. - The narrator is amazing - not too fast with a great clear English - The provided information is detailed enough not to have trouble in following the path - The app with gps works very accurately - Loved the additional photos and descriptions in app - The operator responded fast to the email - You don’t need to rely on a group and in-person guide times! Do it at your own time at your own pace - Totally worth the price ($6 on sale) Some stops were a bit annoying because not informative (“a great stop to grab a lunch” or “a stop to shop - see you soon”) - but I guess some other tourists might value it. It was a great hiking/exploring experience, we enjoyed every moment of it. It can be a perfect date , too. Even rainy weather didn’t bother us. The tour ended not far from Caracalla baths , so it was perfect to proceed with ending the day swimming in a hot spring. We purchased the tour shortly before starting it. The code for the guide arrived approximately 15 min later.

I enjoyed how the app would guide me from stop to stop and did a nice job of pointing out the interesting things about each location. I would rate the tour very highly, except for an apparent technical glitch in the middle of the tour that rendered it essentially useless for the remainder of the tour. At one point, the audio stopped working. Even though the app indicated that the audio was playing, no sound was coming from it. I checked my iPhone settings and volume, and all other sounds were working fine at that time, but could not get the app audio. It was very disappointing.

This is the first time we took an audio guide to visit a city and we really enjoyed it. We can go at our own pace and stop it at any time to spend more time in a specific place. The tour can be done in one hour easily. We feel like we've really learned a lot about Baden-Baden during this hour.

We enjoyed this tour. I liked that we could start and stop it as we needed. The app was a little glitchy at times. It sometimes repeated info we had heard already. Maybe it was user error. The length of the tour was good. We saw things we would not have normally seen.

One of my favorite towns! Beautiful, hilly town with sights in walking distance. A little confusing with directions at times but found my way. Beautiful area. Knowing some German will help around town.

Absolutely brilliant concept and tour. We always do walking tours wherever we go - to get our bearings and to know the basics and to decide where to go back to. Tho sometimes groups are too big, guide isn’t that knowledgeable, tour might be too long/too short etc. But this style of self guided well prepared tour suffered none of those things. The information was obviously pre prepared so was very informative and interesting in a chatty way with lots of different side points. I loved the ability to take time out for coffee/ice cream/ loo stop/ diversion into interesting looking shop! And at the end of the tour we still have the map downloaded on phone with points of interest highlighted as well as restaurants/bars so can use it as an aide memoire for the rest of our stay. Highly recommend doing this tour rather than a group one. I wish every city had the same tour option.
