Aventura de mangue

Poorly organized, no specific starting point and time. The guide didn't understand English, nor did he explain anything. The tour was quite quick, only 5 minutes in the mangroves, the rest was a round trip on the water.

A standout moment was visiting a small temple located on one of the islands, which is considered a go-to Buddhist place for many locals. It offered a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere, adding a unique cultural aspect to the tour. The guide shared fascinating insights about the history and significance of the temple, making the experience even more meaningful. We also visited a cinnamon plantation, where we learned about the process of making cinnamon. The demonstration was engaging, and the aroma of freshly harvested cinnamon was unforgettable. The entire trip was well-organized, and our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we had a fantastic time. This adventure is a perfect mix of nature, culture, and learning. If you’re visiting the area, the Madu River mangrove adventure is a must-do activity. It’s an incredible way to explore Sri Lanka’s natural beauty and rich traditions. Highly recommended!

A very nice ride on the bentota side arm, up to the mouth. I've seen kingfishers, herons, monkeys, warblers, etc. We left at 9am in the morning, the light was very nice. Since you ride in the shade of the trees you can do the tour at any time of the day. Duration 2 hours.

Very helpful and patient staff with quick response to any thing you want to ask. Mangrove adventure is exciting and worth to try. The boat’s driver was so kind and expert person. We saw big lizard ( water monitor) and alot of birds and also there were alot of bats. You can do fish massage also ( 500 rupees per person) and also you can hold a baby crocodile to take a picture with it for a few tips. Also you can visit a spice garden. In general its highly recommended.

We saw crocodiles in during the trip as well as a Goanna. The tour guide could have been more informative.

Had a great time, the tour guide was very informative and knew where to find various birds and showed us really interesting things. Highly recommend for anyone, dont forget your cameras :D

June 2019 me and my friends visited Sri Lanka. It is a beautiful island. The most beautiful places in Sri Lanka are Nuwara Eliya, Mirissa, Unawatuna and Ella. Also we visited alot of beaches and my favorite beach is Unawatuna. We did Mangrove Adventure through ZRI Adventures in Bentota. The mangrove forests in Bentota are home to an incredible variety of wildlife. With this tour, explore the flooded forests and learn about the biodiversity. Along the way look out for baby crocodiles. If you’re luck, you will be able to hold one of them. This is a highly recommended mangrove boat tour. We also visited the fish farm and the crocodile farm. This was a fabulous trip to relax on a speed boat- A great day out.
