O Observatório Neets Bay Bear está fechado ao público em geral e acessível apenas por permissão. Como o titular exclusivo da licença, nossos hóspedes desfrutam de uma oportunidade rara de visitar um dos principais locais de observação de ursos do sudeste do Alasca - uma experiência disponível para poucos visitantes todos os anos. Observe os ursos negros selvagens em seu habitat natural a partir de uma plataforma de observação segura enquanto se alimentam ao longo de riachos de salmão e da costa. Localizado no deserto remoto de Neets Bay, esta experiência de vida selvagem inesquecível oferece oportunidades excepcionais para observação de ursos, fotografia e testemunhar a incrível beleza natural do Alasca de perto.

Você desfrutará de um passeio de ônibus totalmente narrado do centro de Ketchikan (ou Ward Cove, dependendo do seu navio) até o Clover Pass Lodge, o mais antigo alojamento de pesca em operação no estado do Alasca.
Na chegada, você embarcará em nosso confortável barco, totalmente fechado e encontrará seu capitão e tripulação. Você será levado para o deserto para uma exploração de uma hora da selvagem e maravilhosa Floresta Nacional de Tongass, tudo no conforto do seu barco.
Nosso destino é o Neets Bay Bear Observatory. Chegaremos à foz de um riacho de desova de salmões e depois desfrutaremos de um passeio pela incrível floresta, totalmente guiado. Você chegará ao observatório onde ficaremos atentos aos ursos que se alimentam no riacho. Embora vejamos ursos 99% do tempo, a VIDA SELVAGEM NUNCA É GARANTIDA. Você passará 30 minutos observando silenciosamente essas criaturas magníficas antes de retornarmos ao barco.

Everyone we met ( Tory , Captains , and our guide Charlotte) were exceptional.
Was very excited for this excursion but I have to say for the amount we paid was definitely not worth it. Was quite surprised that our guide to take us to see the bears was an 18year old young man . I know it’s nature and nothing is guaranteed but we saw one bear and he came out of the woods looked around and went back into the woods . Not what we expected at all could have saved us a lot $ by not going on this excursion. They should really think about lowering their prices.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry the wildlife viewing did not meet your expectations. As with any wildlife excursion, bear sightings are entirely natural and unpredictable. While guests sometimes enjoy extended viewing of multiple bears, on other days a bear may only appear briefly, as it did during your visit. We would also like to clarify that our guides are selected based on their training, knowledge, and ability—not their age. Our younger team members work alongside experienced captains and crew and are fully trained for their roles. Regarding the cost, we do not know whether your excursion was purchased directly from us or through your cruise line. Cruise lines establish their own retail prices, which can be considerably higher than the price charged when booking directly with the tour operator. While we understand your disappointment, lowering our direct price would not change the amount charged onboard the ship. As with all things - shopping around is always recommended and in this case, the lowest price available is directly from us, the tour operator.
Perfect tour. Informative guides on both bus and boat. Weather was perfect for bears and after a short wait we saw 2 mama’s and both had two babies! We saw them catching salmon and having a feast! It was truly amazing.
Amazing experience. I know that bears cannot be guaranteed but we were lucky enough to see 6 bears today, including a mother and cub. The guides are full of useful information and answer any questions. Big fan. If I’m ever back in Alaska, this is one excursion I will be doing again.

Amazing trip from the beautiful scenery on the boat to Neers Bay to the fantastic Bear watching experience. We were so lucky and saw numerous bears, large males, females and even two sets of mothers with cubs. The guides were informative and helpful. A truly bucket list trip.
