Se você tem pouco tempo, mas quer ver o máximo possível do French Quarter, este é o seu passeio! Iremos avançar em ritmo acelerado, mas você poderá tirar todas aquelas fotos! Veremos todos os locais famosos do French Quarter em 45 minutos. Não há tanta narrativa ou história quanto em uma excursão típica de duas horas, mas seu guia fará uma recapitulação da excursão e uma lista de maneiras recomendadas para aproveitar ainda mais Nova Orleans.

Comece seu passeio rápido no coração da cidade, Jackson Square. A partir daqui você pode ver a Catedral de St. Louis, dois museus do estado da Louisiana, os icônicos Pontalba Apartments e a estátua de Andrew Jackson (é claro). Seu guia lhe contará uma breve história de Nova Orleans e pronto!
Continue pela Chartres Street para ver alguns exemplos da arquitetura icônica de Nova Orleans e ótimas lojas e restaurantes, incluindo uma casa que foi preparada como refúgio para Napoleão (spoiler: ele nos levantou), um museu dedicado aos aspectos mais estranhos da profissão farmacêutica do século XIX( sanguessugas!) e o Supremo Tribunal do Estado da Louisiana.
Desça a Bourbon Street para ter uma amostra (não literalmente - isso seria nojento) do centro da folia noturna de Nova Orleans, incluindo os mais famosos salões de música e estabelecimentos de bebidas. Não se preocupe, geralmente não é tão chocante durante o dia.

Experimente um pouco da “coragem” do French Quarter na Decatur Street, onde há lojas interessantes, restaurantes de frutos do mar, cafés, confeitarias, música por toda parte e uma estátua dourada de Joana D'Arc! Siga o açúcar de confeiteiro até o mundialmente famoso Café Du Monde, o melhor lugar para saborear um café com leite enquanto come beignets e observa as pessoas e ouve jazz ao vivo. Se sua avó veio aqui, ela fez isso - você também tem que fazer! Já está com fome? Estamos quase terminando!
Este parque agora se chama Oscar Dunn Park (mas o Google não recebeu o memorando) e é o lugar perfeito para terminar seu passeio super rápido pelo French Quarter, com vistas da Jackson Square e do rio Mississippi. Você ganhou aqueles beignets e está MUITO mais inteligente e em forma do que há uma hora!

Highly recommend this tour for a quick and informative introduction to the French Quarter. Libby was a fantastic guide, so knowledgeable and engaging. We had a wonderful time and came away much more informed and fascinated with New Orleans history and culture.

Just go book the tour already - you will not be disappointed! Libby was a fantastic guide with so much knowledge of New Orleans and its colorful and interesting history. She tailored our tour to the interests of our group and made sure to answer every question we had. We had a group of high school aged girls and she delivered the information in a way that hooked them from the beginning. I hope we can come back and do another one soon!!

Libby was fantastic! She was incredibly informative, answered all of our questions thoroughly, and made the experience really enjoyable. This is a great way to start a stay in New Orleans if you're staying in the French Quarter. Libby knew a ton of history and shared her preferred spots for dining, beignets, music, and more. She was a lot of fun.

Libby was amazing and worked with our schedule when our flight was cancelled after a seven hour delay. She was understanding and accommodating and we couldn't be more grateful! The tour told us everything we needed to know and more about the area. She also recommended Sweet Saint Ice Cream which was literally the best ice cream I've ever had and Empanola which was incredible.
