We booked the Acropolis and Parthenon guided tour with entry tickets for June 18, and it was absolutely worth it — even with just two days in Athens. Our guide Petros was amazing. Super knowledgeable, genuinely nice, and the pacing was spot on. The tour was long enough to feel like we got a real, well-rounded understanding of the history, but not so long that we were miserable by the end in the June heat. We booked for 9 AM, which I'd highly recommend — it hadn't gotten too hot yet and we were done by noon with the whole rest of the day ahead of us. I also really appreciated that Petros pointed out other significant spots around the city as we walked and gave us suggestions for places to go beyond the tour. It felt like we got more out of Athens because of him. If you're on the fence about doing a guided tour, do it. Even on a short trip, it's well worth the time.
Areti is a great professional. A wonderful experience with her. Thank you
We were visiting from Liverpool, our first time in Athens and our tour guide, Maria, really made the entire Acropolis come alive. EXCELLENT! It was well worth the time and the effort. I would recommend staying for the museum part of the tour as it added to the depth of understanding. An excellent and educational experience.
Very informative and amazing day , my guide had lots of information which helped to understand the history of the city
Thank you for your kind words! We're so happy to hear that you had an amazing and informative day. It’s great that your guide helped bring the city’s rich history to life—there’s so much to discover, and we're glad you got to experience it in such a meaningful way. We hope to see you again on another tour soon! Best regards, Margarita Karavasileiadi
I liked that hotel pickup/drop off was offered. Our tour guide Anastasia was very knowledgeable and nice. She made sure that we were all in the group before she went any further. It wasn’t easy considering that Acropolis was very crowded. She gave clear instructions as to where to go for breaks and where to meet after our free time. It was a very pleasant experience to see the amazing Acropolis which housed the Parthenon, Temple of Athena, etc. We were a group of 8 and everyone agreed that it was well worth it. The city tour afterwards was a plus!
Dear Amalia, Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the tour and had a great time. It's wonderful to know that both the guide and driver made your experience memorable. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you on another adventure soon! Best Regards, Margarita Karavasileiadi
Overall disappointing. First off the coach arrived late and then we had to undergo a series of transfers before finally taking off The English speaking guide was certainly not upto the mark as her command of English was poor. At the Acropolis, we were made to stand in the sun whilst the guide tried to explain /narrate in not-so-good English. Why she didnt take us to shaded part is a mystery(It was 30 deg on that day)

Given the number of tourists that cram into the Acropolis daily, we decided to utilise the Key Tours "Morning Tour #1" as a means to achieve a best outcome. The tour went for 3.5 hours and at €61 per person was good value, as it included €20 entry fee to the Acropolis. The first 1 hour drive around Athens gave a useful insight into venues that we would follow up later. Our guide - Marilena, from Key Tours was competent and knowledgabke, fluent in English and very personable. Her knowledge of Athenian history was comprehensive and we learned a great deal. We attended the Acropolis on a usually busy day and moving around was difficult...but that is just the way it is. The Parthenon and associated historical sights are remarkable, and this is a good way to "do" it. There is adequate time to take the necessary photographs! We would use Key Tours again and would be delighted if Marilena were our guide.
Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your precious time to leave us your feedback about our Athens Sightseeing Half-Day Tour. We are happy to hear that you found your recent tour with Key Tours well organized, very interesting and enjoyable. As regards your fabulous comments about Marilena, we could not agree more with you that she is amazing, very helpful, informative, friendly, and very knowledgeable. We will transfer to her your comments the soonest as possible. Hope to see you soon in one of our future tours. Kindest Regards, Key Tours
Private tour and transfer was booked weeks in advanced, but somehow they had problems figuring out where the pick up should be despite the fact it was communicated via phone and email multiple times. I finally gave up, and arranged a private transfer instead of using Key Tours. Then the day before the "private" tour was to start, they changed the time from an afternoon tour to a morning tour, of course we weren't going to be in Athens until the afternoon, thus the reason for scheduling an afternoon tour. Their attitude "to bad". Terrible communication and customer service.

To investigate your case, could you please provide us some extra information (your full name, the booking date, and the booking reference) at marketing@keytours.gr? We took the half day city tour that included visiting the Acropolis and the Museum. The tour bus picked us up at our hotel. Evan our guide was amazingly informative. We learned such interesting facts from him. We went in June and the Acropolis was very busy, but apparently nothing compared to July and August. The Museum was very interesting. If you want to catch up with Evan, bring snacks and drinks with you. We were picked up at 8am and did not get to the Museum until around 1pm - we were starving!
Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your time to send us your amazing review about our Athens City Tour with us. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in Greece soon and show you other amazing parts of our beautiful country. Kind Regards, Dimitris Bistolas | Managing Director
The Keytours people arrived on time and were very nice. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area, history, and really brought to light details that pleasantly surprised us. The reason we only give a 3/5 rating is because at the end of the tour they left us at the museum instead of driving us back to our hotel (my understanding is it was because they had another tour to go to). At this point we were feeling the jet-lag, and were very hot, tired and hungry - we would've really appreciated being returned to our hotel as opposed to being left to find our way across the city, and we asked, but it seemed the van was no longer available. It ended the tour on a less then happy note.
