Analisaremos formas alternativas de compreensão da identidade do país, que se situa entre as heranças pré-hispânicas, medievais e modernas. Falaremos de artistas como Rivera, Orozco, Siqueiros, Camarena e muitos outros. É uma atividade única para os amantes da arte e da cultura.

Um impressionante museu com obras de Rivera, Siqueiros, Orozco, Camarena e Tamayo. Falaremos sobre a história do muralismo mexicano.
Nesta impressionante avenida veremos o estilo barroco dos palácios da Cidade do México, bem como as fachadas de algumas igrejas.
Praça central do CMDX onde visitaremos o palácio do governo, a catedral e as janelas arqueológicas do antigo México-Tenochtitlan.
Excelente museu para conhecer os primeiros trabalhos de Clemente Orozco e, em geral, o nascimento do movimento muralista do século XX.
Neste recinto veremos alguns dos murais mais impressionantes de Diego Rivera (são 248 no total). O local tem 3 andares e diversas salas temporárias com arte em cavalete, murais, cerâmicas e desenhos pré-hispânicos.

Jose Vicente has a fantastic and deep understanding of Mexican history and art. He has a first class personality and conveys history with humor, for example contrasting Rivera, Orozco and Siqueiros not just in terms of their respective perspectives and techniques but the impact of their personalities.
We met José at the Palace of Fine Arts and immediately started visiting the main murals. José was very good at introducing the theme and illustrating the social context of the time, fundamental to understanding the murals. Without its introduction most of the details of the works would be lost. After a short walk you reach two other beautiful buildings, where the visit continues. José is very knowledgeable on the subject and can convey information in a simple and direct way

Jose exceeded all of our expectations. He was bright, articulate, knowledgeable, insightful, enthusiastic and caring. He brought the artwork alive and wanted to us to feel the history, soul and message within. Our tour was held on a Tuesday and when we found that the Dept of Education was unexpectedly closed, Jose rearranged his schedule to meet us the next day and continue the tour! We were overwhelmed by his dedication and his sincere desire to share the history of his country and the richness of its art. I enthusiastically recommend this tour.
