Zodiac Coastal Tour met Naturalist Guide: Lunenburg

This is absolutely incredible. 10/10!! The guides were so welcoming and had refreshments waiting for us after the tour. We saw seals and so many birds. We had hot weather and the ocean was almost like glass so it was very comfortable!

What an amazing excursion! My children and myself had such a wonderful and informative time. Such a blessing to be in the midst of people who are passionate about what they do. I wish we could take in more excursions like this !

Jason and Deb were excellent guides and made the tour enjoyable from start to finish. We saw so many amazing sights, including seals, eagles, and a variety of sea birds. What a great tour! Our original tour was cancelled due to weather but we were able to book the next day. Jason was fantastic in rebooking. He's also a very knowledgeable and great guide! We saw frolicking seals, jellyfish and the elusive puffin! If you have the time this is definitely a tour to take!

I really enjoyed this tour with Jason around some of the bays and islands of the south shore, Nova Scotia. It was a cold day but I was dressed for the weather and enjoyed every minute of it! Jason was very considerate of my comfort and safety and that of the other 5 guests, as well as keeping us informed about where we were going and what we were looking at. He is a very knowledgeable guide with tons of experience not only in this area but in other remote parts of the world. I really enjoyed hearing his stories about the people and the animals in the places he’s been. He also told us a lot about the geological history of Nova Scotia, pointing out remarkable examples of the glacial impact on the land from the last ice age. I loved all that. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

My husband and I had an amazing, intimate tour experience along the coastal shores of Lunenburg. Our guide, Jason, was extremely knowledgeable about the local ecology and marine life, and the Zodiac boat allowed us to stay close to the shoreline and easily explore different areas of the water. We saw seal pups, several seabird species, and a variety of other local wildlife and plant species. The hosts were always respectful of the environment, and one of the advantages of the small boat was the opportunity to disembark on some of the islands, which made the experience even more special. This excursion ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip to Nova Scotia. The tour concluded with a snack and beverage, and it was clear how passionate Jason and Deb are about what they do. We would love to join them again someday—perhaps on one of their polar adventures! Highly recommended.
