Anders dan een reguliere reis naar Jiufen, Shifen en Yehliu, brengt dit spectaculaire eendaagse tourvertrek vanuit Taipei je ook naar een attractie waar je de Yin Yang-zee, 13 Levels Ruïnes en de prachtige Gouden Waterval in één keer kunt bekijken. Bezoek de mijnstad in de bergen, Jiufen, om de scène van "Spirited Away" te ervaren. Ga naar Shifen Waterval om te ontspannen en de Oude Straat om uw wensen vrij te laten in de lucht, en moge uw reis geweldig worden!

Verbluffende geologische formaties die zijn ontstaan door eeuwenlange erosie van de oceaan en wind. Dit natuurwonder heeft unieke rotsvormen zoals het iconische 'Koninginnenhoofd', een fijn uitgebalanceerde formatie die lijkt op het profiel van een koningin, evenals andere creatieve formaties met de namen 'Fairy Shoe', 'Sea Candles' en 'Mushroom Rocks'.
De kleur van Golden Waterfall is niet te wijten aan vervuiling, maar eerder een combinatie van natuurlijke mineralen zoals ijzer en koper uit de nabijgelegen verlaten Jinguashi-mijnen. Hier kijkt u ook uit over de 13 lagenruïnes, ook wel bekend als de "Overblijfselen van de Dertien Niveaus", samen met de Yin-Yang Zee. De zee vertoont hier een unieke mix van goudgele en diepblauwe tinten, die lijkt op het Taoïstische yin-yang symbool. [ Let op: Vanwege verkeersbeperkingen in het weekend en op feestdagen kan de tour Golden Waterfall niet bezoeken. We zullen echter nog steeds Yin-Yang Sea bezoeken. ]
Bekend om zijn smalle steegjes, traditionele theehuizen en levendige rode lantaarns, was Jiufen ooit een welvarende goudmijnstad tijdens de Japanse bezetting in het begin van de 20e eeuw. Tegenwoordig is het een must om in de theehuizen te proeven van de lokale thee om van het uitzicht te genieten en een kom taroballen als dessert te hebben.
Shifen Waterval wordt vaak geprezen als de "Kleine Niagara van Taiwan." De krachtige stroming en mist van het water creëren prachtige regenbogen op zonnige dagen, wat een magische toets toevoegt aan de ervaring.
De straat is bekleed met winkels die traditionele snacks, souvenirs en hemellantaarns verkopen, die bezoekers vaak versieren met wensen en loslaten in de lucht voor geluk. Deze traditie, oorspronkelijk afkomstig van Chinese festivals, is uitgegroeid tot een van de grootste trekpleisters van Shifen, met jaarlijkse festivals die duizenden mensen trekken die massaal lantaarns komen uitbrengen.

The itinerary included interesting rock formations by the sea, a must visit a hillside tourist town and the quintessential lantern launching pad. Our guide Trix Yang curated a introductory video of each stop as well as a map showing key attractions.
The tour was great! Imma is a good tour guide. She loves her job and she's accommodating. Would recommend her.
Great stops and pacing. Felt like I was constantly doing something interesting but not exhausted. Kate is a great tour guide full of positive energy and great presentation skills.
The time at each stop was well timed and adequate. It would have been a better excursion if our guide had a better command of English.
Jimmy was our driver and guide for this tour. There was only one more couple with us on this tour so Jimmy picked us up in a sedan. He covered all the attractions giving us ample time at each place. He gave us loads of information. Upon return he dropped us off at the night market so that we got to experience that as well. Overall, a great experience!
The tour bus driver was disappointing - tardy pick ups, aggressive driving on the highway, and erratic sudden stops mid driving. Aside from the driver, Eva/guide is awesome! Her peppy energy, fantastic communication on history and directions, along with warm and inviting Q&A are just a few traits that made the trip worth the book! We did not visit the Golden Waterfall as that trip was cancelled and I was transferred to the mainstream one. I'd say we visited the Shifen waterfall, which was nice, although some 15-20 min walking one way from the parking. I found Shifen village uninteresting. Those lantern launches are for (dumb) tourists who don't care about the environmental impact of those lanterns ending up on fields and on trees. As tourists keep paying for this senseless service, tour operators will keep bringing them to Shifen. Apart from that, there's nothing to be seen or done in the village. Jiufen felt overcrowded and is not so amazing: the famous teahouse and a very long street with shops and stairs. The surrounding area looked beautiful but under pouring rain it was not easy to see a lot. The Yehliu geopark was beautiful, it's perhaps the only place I would go back to again. Our guide was a nice lady who provided useful information.
We sincerely apologize for the lack of coordination regarding the cancellation of the Golden Waterfall visit and the transfer to a different tour without your preference. We will conduct a thorough review to improve our itinerary transparency and explore more sustainable alternatives for our activities, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the future.
This tour is strongly recommended if you want to see many interesting and beautiful places in the coastal area in one day. They all are worth seeing, and it could be difficult and take a lot of time to do it by yourself. The tour provided sufficient time to explore the sites, and the guide was very helpful. Be prepared: these are popular, touristy sites, still good.

such a good and educational tour! the guide was very knowledgeable and helpful and the group was small which made the experience feel more personal and meaningful. could not recommend this experience enough. i felt like the time in each place was the perfect amount, i never felt rushed and i never felt bored! such an amazing tour to book!!

There were only 3 people on the tour so it felt very intimate in our own private taxi car the whole day. Our guide was the absolute best and she did a great job explaining some of the history behind the naming of the towns we visited. If you want a stress free day around Juifen and Shifen I highly recommend this tour.
