1e optie – Desert Begin je avontuur in Wahiba Sands met spannende duinritten over uitgestrekte gouden duinen en fotostops. Daarna bezoekt u de oase Wadi Bani Khalid, zwemt u in turquoise zwembaden, verkent u schilderachtige canyonpaden of ontspant u aan het water. Bescheiden badkleding vereist. Keer terug naar Muscat na een dag vol woestijn- en oaselandschappen van Oman. 2e optie – zonsondergang Begin bij Wadi Bani Khalid om te zwemmen, te verkennen of te ontspannen. Ga vervolgens naar Wahiba Sands voor duinrijden en optioneel sandboarden. Blijf getuige van de adembenemende zonsondergang in de woestijn, terwijl de gouden duinen transformeren onder warm avondlicht, voordat u terugkeert naar Muscat. 3e optie – privé Geniet van een volledig privétour door Wadi Bani Khalid en Wahiba Sands met uw eigen voertuig en Gids. Kies uw vertrektijd, zonder andere passagiers, voor een gepersonaliseerde en exclusieve woestijnervaring. Starttijden variëren per optie : 1 optie (woestijn) van ~8:00 uur; 2e optie (zonsondergang) van 9:00–11:00 uur, afhankelijk van het seizoen.

Wahiba Sands is een woestijngebied dat deel uitmaakt van de Al Sharqiya Sands of Oman. Deze plek zal zeker voor iedereen onvergetelijk blijven. Je ziet de duinen die tot 200 meter kunnen reiken en die worden aangelegd door wind, wit en rood zand. De unieke zonsondergangen, kamelen en onaantastbare natuur - dit zijn slechts een kleine lijst met dingen die je gaat zien en ervaren.
Wadi Bani Khalid (of Wadi Hayer zoals het ook wordt genoemd). Het is letterlijk een paradijs dat je zal laten opfrissen na de bedompte woestijn. Wadi Hayer is een oase met een sprankelende waterval omringd door enorme rotsen en dadelpalmen van alle kanten. Het water is hier crystisch schoon en transparant. We moeten vermelden dat het niet slechts een enkel punt is - het bestrijkt een groot aantal bijna vastgelegde dorpen. Toeristen hebben ook een kans om de grotten in te gaan, maar ze moeten worden vergezeld door de ervaren gids.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
We nemen een dag voor de tour contact op met alle gasten om de ophaalgegevens te bevestigen. Geef je exacte adres op bij het boeken en een actief WhatsApp-nummer om een vlotte communicatie te garanderen. Als uw ophaallocatie geen hotel is maar een specifieke plaats (bijvoorbeeld een privéwoning of kantoor), markeer dan het exacte gebouw op de kaart en geef duidelijke instructies zodat onze chauffeur u gemakkelijk kan lokaliseren. Als ophalen op de luchthaven nodig is of als de tour plaatsvindt op dezelfde dag als uw aankomst, houd dan rekening met voldoende buffertijd voordat de tour begint. Als u ingecheckte bagage moet ophalen, raden we u aan om minimaal 1,5 uur te plannen tussen uw geplande aankomsttijd en de start van de tour. Als u reist zonder ingecheckte bagage, wordt een minimum van 1 uur aanbevolen om tijdige aankomst voor ophalen te garanderen.

- Om veiligheidsredenen wordt deze tour niet aanbevolen voor zwangere gasten vanwege duin bashing activiteiten. Wij adviseren om een privétour zonder duinrijden te boeken voor een veiligere en comfortabelere ervaring.
- Pick-up & Drop-off : Transfers worden verzorgd vanuit Muscat. De exacte ophaaltijd wordt een dag voor de tour via WhatsApp bevestigd, dus geef van tevoren een actief WhatsApp-nummer door.
- Let op : De totale duur van woestijn en oase activiteiten is ongeveer 3 uur; de resterende tijd van de tour wordt toegewezen aan reizen tussen Muscat en de activiteiten locaties (heen en terug).
- De tour is alleen beschikbaar voor gasten van 5 jaar en ouder
- Weersoverwegingen : De tour werkt onder alle weersomstandigheden; in geval van extreem weer kunnen bepaalde activiteiten echter worden aangepast of verplaatst
- Starttijd : Starttijden verschillen per optie. De Desert & Oasis (zonder zonsondergang) optie begint meestal rond 8 : 00 AM. Opties inclusief zonsondergang of quad ervaringen beginnen meestal tussen 9 : 00 en 11 : 00 AM, afhankelijk van het seizoen

The tour is in small groups in a fairly comfortable vehicle, the Wani Bani Khalid is a very nice place to spend the day, remember to wear modest swimwear. The experience of watching the sunset in the desert is amazing, walking through the dunes, sandboarding and seeing camels and Bedouins is a very nice experience.

Our guide Abdullah Alhabsi was 5 stars. He was polite knowledgeable, a good driver and great 4WD drive skills in the desert sand dunes. It was delightful he was our guide and also join our table for some meals. Abdullah also assisted me more due to my age and knees in some difficult spots. Thank you so much for an amazing 4 days. The accommodation was excellent all four nights. Gilloman needs to improve some areas of communication, and the trip might be light physical for the under 50 but was difficult for 60-year-old with bad knees. Note no alcohol was available at any of the locations something to be aware, if you like a beer.

What a great day trip! Just enjoyed it. Picked up from the hotel with a 4x4 pickup truck. Together with a couple from USA and an Italian Wadi Bani Khalid and visited the desert. Mohammed is still young but a very experienced driver with a passion for cars and the desert. Hugely enjoyed tearing through the desert, sandboarding and the sunset. If you like some adventure you really should book this day trip.

I have done a fair few desert trips in different countries. They can seem a bit repetitive - ride a camel, etc. But I signed up for this one as I wanted to sand board and it was a lot of fun! It's a nice way to get to Wahiba Sands from Muscat. It's a long journey out, but no complaints. Cute camels too, although I don't ride them for ethical reasons.
