This cruise was excellent! As amateur bird and wildlife enthusiasts, this tour ticked all the boxes. It was a drizzly, grey day but this did not dampen or hinder our experience. The skipper and crew were friendly, competent and extremely knowledgeable having come with different expertise. There were additional volunteer experts on the team the day we went. It was the last tour for the season and we were luck enough to see around 10 whales; mothers, calves and adults. There was a huge range of activity and behavioral display; from breaching, blowing, tail and pec (flipper) slaps and more! It could not have been a better trip. Thank you Wildlife Coast Cruise
Thank you for leaving such a wonderful review! Our captain, crew and citizen science volunteers are very knowledgable and passionate about the wildlife and areas we visit, and we are pleased to hear that despite the gloomy conditions your cruise was a successful one, with so much whale activity on display - sounds like it was a fantastic day! Thank you again for taking the time to leave a review and we hope to welcome you back on board in the future :)
Last cruise of the season. Fabulous afternoon. 9 whales sighted, 2 of them breaching. Seals were fascinating & fun to watch as well. The crew were all great. Would recommend to all.
Seamless operation by the crew and captain. Felt really safe and enjoyed the day aboard their boat. Saw a range of sea life including whales and enjoyed viewing the coastline from the water.
Another fantastic whale cruise with the WCC team at the beautiful Wilson’s Promontory……super weather conditions all day helped us thoroughly enjoy the day. The Captain and crew got us onto whales for nearly the entire cruise. So much so, we stayed out later than scheduled (with everyone’s agreement) as a single juvenile insisted in circling the boat for over 30 mins to play. We had breaches, tail slapping, muggings and spy hopping…the full Monty. Would totally recommend the cruise and a huge thank you to the crew.
Awesome day with nature great experience and good operators. A good time was had by all. Great value
Absolutely the perfect day for whale watching. Lovely crew members and thoughtful service. I enjoyed the commentary a lot. That moment when the whale jumped out of the water was just spectacular. Would love to go on the trip again.
Excellent trip Knowledgable staff Beautiful part of the world Great to see birds, dolphins, seals, rocks and…a whale!
Amazing day, sun was shining, seas were calm. We got to see a mum and its cheeky calf put on a show for us with lots of splashing and even a couple of breaches. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Food was delicious and plentiful. Ticked off the bucket list, but I want to go back for more. Highly recommend this cruise. Saw lots of bird life including a gorgeous sea eagle. Seals and penguins going about their business. Loved it :)
My husband went on this cruise on Sunday 18th October as it was a bucket list item he wanted to tick off which he well and truly did! He had a fantastic day seeing approximately 12-15 humpback whales across 4 different pods. The viewing of the whales was exceptional where they were lucky enough to have close contact for around 1 and a half hours. Also on the tour they saw common and bottlenose dolphins, an array of bird life and fantastic viewing of Wilsons Prom including lunch at Refuge Cove. The crew were all home grown locals offering great knowledge and were friendly and entertaining throughout. A great experience seeing whales so close to home in Gippsland!
The cruise was amazing. Seeing the prom from a different perspective with very knowledgeable commentary. Lunch and snacks were great and very high quality. We almost hadn’t seen whales and were going to head back, when we had the most incredible experience with about 10 whales swimming around the boat (they approached us). Best whale watching I’ve done (and I’ve done a few in Aus and overseas).
