Ga op een spannend avontuur door het noordwesten van Madeira in een 4x4 jeep onder leiding van een plaatselijke expert. Ontdek de natuurlijke wonderen van de regio terwijl je jezelf onderdompelt in de rijke cultuur en geschiedenis van het eiland. Verken de beroemde natuurlijke zwembaden van Porto Moniz, gevormd door vulkanische lava en badend in het kristalheldere water van de Atlantische Oceaan. Proef de lokale gastronomie en probeer de traditionele Madeiraanse poncha. Maak een wandeling van 25 minuten langs de iconische levadas, het ingenieuze irrigatiesysteem dat zich een weg baant over meer dan 2.200 kilometer van het eiland. Deze paden bieden een adembenemend uitzicht op het landschap en een glimp van de techniek die ten grondslag ligt aan de landbouw en energieproductie van Madeira. Bewonder tot slot het mystieke Fanal Woud, een deel van de Laurissilva dat is geclassificeerd als UNESCO Werelderfgoed. Observeer eeuwenoude bomen en inheemse soorten in dit unieke ecosysteem, waar de mist een werkelijk betoverende sfeer creëert.

Na een paar dagen regen verschijnt dit meer midden in het hele landschap van Fanal, dat uniek is door zijn eeuwenoude bomen.

Naast de zee konden we zien wat de naam geeft aan dit landvenster dat we vinden op een klein eiland dat alleen zichtbaar is vanuit een bepaalde hoek, de stroom die duidelijk zichtbaar is. Bij de halte aan zee voelen we de intense geur van de zee.
De natuurlijke zwembaden van Porto Moniz worden gevormd door vulkanische lava, natuurlijk gevuld met kristalhelder zeewater. De natuurlijke zwembaden van Porto Moniz zijn het hoogtepunt van het dorp Porto Moniz.

Seixal beach is een strand van zwart zand, met kristalhelder water. Het prachtige landschap van de wijngaardhelling waar goede wijn wordt geproduceerd. De golven zorgen soms voor een interessant schouwspel. de basaltkliffen zijn een andere attractie die vanaf deze locatie te zien is.
Een van de hoofdsteden van het noorden van het eiland. We waren in staat om de hoofdkerk en de smalle straatjes te bezoeken die ons aan andere tijden deden denken.
Als het mooi weer is en er geen bewolking is, klimmen we naar 1007 meter hoogte zodat we de noordkust en de zuidkust van het eiland tegelijkertijd kunnen zien.

We decided to do this because many other trips were fully booked. We did book through our hotel, the Cliff Bay and I have to say. My wife and I really enjoyed the full day trip, we both totally agree this would not have been the case if we didn’t have a lovely young guy called Wilson as our guide. He was so courteous, professional and very informative. He simply made the day that much better with his fantastic customer skills. If you ever do this trip, I would highly recommend Wilson as your guide. Thank you Adventureland Madeira but a bigger thank you to Wilson! Brilliant experience *****

We had booked this tour after participating in another tour on Monday to the east, this was very nice despite the extremely bad weather thanks to the driver named Hugo. Hugo pointed out to us that we should explicitly ask for him as a driver when booking, which we did. The trouble started with the pick-up at the hotel in the morning. It was not Hugo who came, but another rider who took part in the Eastern Tour on Monday as a trainee - very young and with far less experience than Hugo. He was 10 minutes late and there were already 2 guests in the back seat. We were told to get in the back and sit in the "emergency seats." These are transverse to the direction of travel. When I said I couldn't drive like this because I was getting sick, the other two guests were moved to the back seats. Afterwards we learned that 2 more guests will be picked up and so we would "experience" a full-day tour of six plus driver in this old LandRover. We then told the driver to turn around and take us back to the hotel. The hotel called the agency - result was: we booked and can either ride or the money is gone! in the end they offered another voucher - knowing that we will never and can never redeem it. The whole thing is only designed to maximise profits and we cannot recommend this agency. In addition to cashing in, a full-day tour with 7 people in such an old vehicle (and on off-road routes) and an inexperienced driver is a high safety risk - unacceptable and irresponsible.

We did a Jeep tour to the west and to the winery Quinta de Barbusano with Lewis. We had a wonderful day and felt like we got to see a ton in that one day. Lewis was very laid back and gave us the chance to learn more about normal life on the island, experience the best Poncha we had on the trip, and curated the drive to what we wanted from the day. The roads themselves on our route were not the easiest and Lewis handled it no problem! Would recommend this tour to anyone for the views, an absolutely fabulous lunch and wine tasting, and Lewis for a relaxed and informal yet informative guide.

This jeep trip was amazing. Our driver/guide Diego took us to some beautiful parts of the island where we had time to explore and take photos. This was our first trip to Madeira and going on this tour gave us the chance to see the mountains and the sea. Diego took us on an off-road route up a mountain which was exciting and definitely not something we could have done in a hire car!
We really enjoyed this trip, our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and we learnt quite a few interesting facts and seen things we wouldnt be able to if we had done it ourselves,the tour guide gave us adequate time at each stop , would highly recommend.
We went on the West Coast tour with Luis our guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly and easy to get on with. The highlights were the Lavada walks, Poncha tasting and waterfall view. Lovely natural pools but we opted to stay longer in the recommended restaurant. Luis is an asset to the business and we would definitely book another tour.
Outstanding day on our full day west Madeira tour. Great value. Diego was our guide. He was knowledgeable and friendly. My husband and i booked x2 seats and were in a jeep with Diego ( our fab guide), another couple and a single traveller. We had a brilliant day and Diego was an excellent guide. Oh ....also we opted for lunch, well worth it served in a lovely local restaurant. Tops day out and we saw some gorgeous sights. Thank you
A good way to see the island. Luis our driver was excellent not only from a driving point of view but his knowledge and humour as well.
