De Band Rotunda, een bezienswaardigheid van Wellington sinds de oorspronkelijke bouw in 1938, is sinds 2012 gesloten omdat het uitgebreide versterkings- en restauratiewerkzaamheden vereist. Oorspronkelijk door de eerste Poolse inwoner Dupa genoemd als Wellington bodem als het gebied werd gebruikt voor het verwerken van walvissen en koken blubber voor olie Zo genoemd naar een van de vroegste schepen die ingenieurs en stedenbouwkundigen leverden van het Nieuw-Zeelandse bedrijf dat na 1840 arriveerde
De Carter Fountain werd geschonken aan de stad Wellington van de lokale zakenman Hugh Carter, als een gedenkteken voor zijn ouders George en Ella Carter, en de mensen van Wellington voor een prijs van $ 75.000.
Geschilderde dames en andere historische huizen, zoals die in de prominente Wellingtoniaanse Streamline Moderne stijl, zijn gebouwd naast en in de heuvels die uitkijken op de baai.

Had an amazing time on this tour that gave us a great overview of Wellington. Visited rose garden and several very cute neighborhoods. We went to Roxy theater and Weta studios. It was a relaxing pace to see the beautiful scenery and stop for most delicious meat pie that we enjoyed at a neighborhood park. We highly recommend this tour operator and David our driver did a fantastic job. Aaron the owner even reached out to me with tour ideas when he knew our cruise itinerary changed. 😀

Enjoyed an informative and comprehensive tour with Aaron as our Guide. Visited multiple landmarks and it is a great way to get a feel of the city layout. This tour was the best way to see the whole area around Wellington. This tour took us so many places. We saw views form the top of two hill tops, we drove along the ocean, we went to the rose garden, went to an old theater and rode the cable the car. We were picked up from the ship and brought back to the ship in plenty of time. Our driver was David and he did an excellent job. He walked with us on all the stops and explained to us about the area. He was very patient and didn't rush us. Very knowledgeable about the area. We had a lot of fun. Thank you David.
