Hoi! Ik ben Kevin, geboren en getogen in Chicago, en ik woon sinds 2020 in Straatsburg. Ik hou van het delen van mijn geadopteerde huis met reizigers die genieten van een mix van cultuur, geschiedenis, humor en authenticiteit! In deze “Welkom in Straatsburg!” Wandeltocht, we zullen vele hoogtepunten van bezienswaardigheden en het leven in de stad bezoeken. We zullen ons verwonderen over de schoonheid van de iconische kathedraal van Straatsburg, een wandeling maken door Petite France, de meest pittoreske wijk van Straatsburg, gevolgd door de belangrijkste pleinen van de stad. Onderweg zal ik je ook wijzen op andere dingen om te verkennen voor de rest van je verblijf! Dit is een ontspannen, vriendelijke wandeltocht. In plaats van een geschiedeniscollege, is het meer een wandeling met een vriend met leuke feiten, lokale verhalen en uitstekende aanbevelingen om te delen! Of je hier nu een dag of een week bent, ik zal ervoor zorgen dat Straatsburg wat vertrouwder aanvoelt :) Let op : - we gaan tijdens de tour niet naar binnen in de kathedraal - de rondleiding wordt in het Engels gegeven

We beginnen onze kennismaking met Straatsburg met een kort historisch en cultureel overzicht van de stad
We zullen ons verbazen over de schoonheid en een aantal leuke weetjes leren over de iconische kathedraal van Straatsburg. (Let op : wij zullen de kathedraal tijdens de rondleiding niet betreden.)
We zullen een combinatie van bouwstijlen waarderen die je alleen in de Elzas kunt zien langs een voetgangerspad aan de rivieroever.
We zullen genieten van een prachtig uitzicht op Petite France langs de rivier voordat we de buurt verkennen.
We dwalen door de kronkelige wegen van de meest pittoreske wijk van Straatsburg en genieten van een prachtig uitzicht over de stad weg van de drukte
We bezoeken de sociale hartslag van Straatsburg
We bezoeken een van de belangrijkste pleinen van Straatsburg, met het Hôtel de Ville (gemeentehuis) en verschillende bezienswaardigheden die de unieke geschiedenis van Straatsburg tot leven brengen

Kevin was the perfect person to contextualize the city for me, allowing me to appreciate its diversity and beauty in ways that I would have otherwise overlooked. Because the city has changed hands several times in its history, the dissonance you will experience will make sense to you. Kevin also has many recommendations for your stay in Strasbourg that my husband and I later tested; we were quite pleased. I took his tour during the heat wave, and Kevin was thoughtful about water breaks and shady rest stops given the length of the tour. After the tour concluded, he offered to answer questions and advised on the remainder of my Strasbourg itinerary, which I found to be quite helpful. I went on the tour alone, but he created a vibe where I left feeling like I made new friends I hadn’t met yet if you know what I mean. I highly recommend.
Our guide is a native to the area and deeply knowledgeable about the history and culture. He knew every village and provided a lot of insight.
Kevin is a terrific guide - knowledgeable, interesting and fun to spend time with. We received a wonderful over view of Strasbourg from him.
It was truly a wonderful experience and a pleasant way to get to know Strasbourg. I immensely enjoyed this tour and will do it again when I returned with my family. Kevin is one of the best guides I've had the pleasure of meeting. He is very friendly, I especially appreciate how he laid out how the tour is going to be and you can feel how much he loves his adopted city. Kevin's English fluency (being his first language) also made a significant difference in understanding the history of Strasbourg. We booked this last minute and couldn’t be happier with our experience. It was an outstanding tour filled with a mix of history, cultural facts, and a general understanding of the city. We thoroughly enjoyed it and wouldn’t want to have spent our day in Strasbourg any other way. We saw beautiful sights, had a chance to get delicious snacks, and really appreciated getting to see and understand the city in depth and beyond the standard tourist offerings. Book this intimate tour, you won’t regret it.
Cannot recommend enough for anyone visiting Strasbourg! This 3 hour walking tour was one of my favorite activities we did while visiting France. Kevin is very friendly knowledgeable and answers any questions about Strasbourg you may have. He also provides great recommendations for places to eat etc. Just be prepared to cover a lot of ground and bring water!

What a wonderful day spent with Kevin. It was a wonderful way to get to know the city and learn more about the history and what makes Strasbourg so special. All the restaurant recommendations were spectacular. It was definitely a highlight of our 18 day stay in France. We will definitely be coming back!
Kevin knows his history and is a great storyteller. We’ve done plenty of walking tours, but this one is one of my favorites. I may not remember the dates of the different events that Kevin spoke of, but I’ll never forget the stories. He also gave us his recommendations on restaurants, which was nice.
Kevin was our ideal guide. Not only friendly and personable, enthusiastic and proud of his adopted home town, but SO well organized. He conveyed the city’s complicated history in a clear and entertaining way and spent his time on the meaningful details and stories that make you feel you’ve really gotten to know the city. Just excellent!
