Je leert over de geschiedenis van het gebied met de langste antiekmarkt ter wereld, kleurrijke kunst, mode, prachtige architectuur, iconische filmlocaties die hier op film zijn vereeuwigd en waarom er hier ook zo'n grote Spaanse gemeenschap is. Er zijn zes haltes, waaronder Venezolaans straatvoedsel (de Cachapa) van Papelón, vers geïmporteerde Jamón Serrano & Andalusische olijven van het vasteland van Spanje tot een van de oudste - nog steeds door een familie gerunde - Spaanse delicatessenwinkels in Londen, een proeverij van lokale gin van de Portobello Road Gin-distilleerderij, zelfgebakken croissantbroodjes van de populairste nieuwe bakkerij in Notting Hill, chocoladetruffels van een verborgen chocolatier en een verrassing van de wereldberoemde Ottolenghi's. Je hebt genoeg tijd om te wandelen, praten, eten en je simpelweg te laten meeslepen door dit ongelooflijke gebied. Tot ziens.

De thuisbasis van de langste antiekmarkt ter wereld. De hele week door heeft Portobello Road altijd een geweldige elektrische sfeer. Van vintage kleding tot Bric-à-brac-kraampjes en niet te vergeten de levendige voedselmarkt, er is hier voor elk wat wils.
Van de bekroonde hitfilm 'Notting Hill' kun je een bezoek brengen aan de beroemde Blauwe deur en de boekwinkel waar Hugh Grant en Julia Roberts in speelden.
Er is zoveel ongelooflijke kunst en graffiti in de omgeving, maar hoe kunnen we werken van de ongelooflijke en anonieme 'Banksy' missen. We zullen twee van zijn stukken zien tijdens de Portobello Tales-tour.

This is a seriously good way to spend three hours in London. Our guide Eddie was exceptionally knowledgeable about the Potobello Road / Notting Hill area, stopping frequently at points of interest - some well known and some hidden gems - and also about the different foods we sampled, of which there was a great selection. He was also very personable anns natural, and we certainly didn’t get the impression that everything was ‘on script.’ Incidentally, we did a quick tot-up of the food and drink included in the tour and thought it represented very good value. Thoroughly recommended!
I should never have eaten breakfast. The food and drink on this tour was outstanding and we were taken to places we would never have found on our own. The walk was at the right place and the history of this part of London so interesting. These tours are as only as good as the tour leader and we were very fortunate to have Eddie Weaver who was brilliant. Thanks Eddie

I was looking for a different activity to take part in with a group of friends to celebrate my upcoming wedding. A more civilised and sedate hen event shall we say. This tour came highly recommended and did not disappoint. from the moment the tour started Eddies knowledge of the area was apparent. He moved us efficiently though the streets to our first food stop, passing at points to talk about the area and its history and culture. Our first stop was a Venezuelan street food stall, from there we progressed to a Spanish deli, a bun shop, a wine bar and two more deletable treats followed. The whole tour was relaxed and at a suitable pace, dotted with interesting facts, stories and local highlights. The food was all well picked, perfectly portioned and delicious. We are now looking at booking the other available tours. Thank you Eddie for a great day.
We were looking for a private tour in the Kensington area and I came across Walk Eat Talk Eat. I reached out to Eddie to see if he would be willing to host a group of 60 people and he said it wouldn't be a problem! He was so easy to work with and brought us to all the best places. I truly cannot recommend this tour enough. We will definitely take this tour again next time we are in London.

We had been on the Bermondsey tour in 2023 so wanted a different experience. We were not dissapointed either with this tour! Eddie is a very knowledgable guide who mixes history with culinary experience. The shops/stalls we visited were all very welcoming and offered excellent food and drink! Special thanks to Luigi in Franklins who supplied excellent wines and coffee! Only 1 tour left to experience and we will certainly be on the East End Tour very soon. These tours are a great insight into the areas you visit and with the food and drink supplied are great value for money!

My husband and I joined Eddie for a wonderful tour of Notting Hill and Portobello Road market - it was a wonderful experience. Eddie was extremely friendly and easy to talk with. We learned so much about a neighborhood in London we had never had the opportunity to visit before - the food and drink were delicious!
