Leer meer over de rijke geschiedenis en cultuur van de Cahuilla-indianen terwijl je met je deskundige gids een jeep door hun voorouderlijke thuisland berijdt. Maak een gemakkelijke begeleide wandeling van 1,6 km door Andreas Canyon voor boeiende uitzichten en bekijk een prachtige palmoase vanaf de rand van Palm Canyon. Our tour guide, Pace, provided a truly exceptional and educational experience, covering the San Andreas fault, the landscape, local wildlife, plants, and the Indigenous tribe of the region. Walked the Palm Canyon trail earlier this month. Super cool. An oasis in the desert. Trail from the parking area is pretty easy. A few rocky parts but not bad. Very well traveled, nicely maintained trail. You can walk as far as you want. You can either go out and back or take other trails to go farther. It is $12/person to get in which is collected at a gate a bit of a drive away from the parking area.

This tour is awesome! Our guide, Travis, was so knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the area along the way and about the painted canyons. He knew a lot about the plants and rocks too. We hiked into some slot canyons which were very cool! Definitely recommend this jeep tour!!

Our guide for the Painted Canyons tour was Teri Christensen, who was a pleasure to tour and hike with on our trip. She was courteous, polite and a professional the entire time. Her guided tour of the lush growing farms along with her knowledge of the history of the entire region was incredible! From the fig trees and how they are harvested, to the story of the last cowboy gun fight in the wild wild west, she could speak to all! The hiking in the canyons was beautiful, and it was fun getting her insight on the best way to do it! Hope you have a great time on your Red Jeep Tour, its worth it!

I was expecting 4-wheeling through the desert. What I got was a tour and education of the area, while in a Jeep. Rick was AMAZING and knew everything about the area. Very educational! The tour was scheduled for three hours and took that long. You cover maybe a few miles of Jeep travel. I would rather more time be spent to the geology of the area as opposed to being educated on the indian tribe that lived there.
