Laten we ons even voorstellen: wij zijn Inés & Juanjo, 2 authentieke inheemse gidsen op Gran Canaria. Bij ons ga je de schoonheid van dit eiland ontdekken en ervaren met echte ‘local eyes’. Voor ons is Barranco de los Cernícalos niet alleen een van de mooiste wandelpaden op het eiland: het is een heel belangrijk onderdeel van ons eigen leven, aangezien onze familieleden hier hebben gewoond en voor ons is het als een "speeltuin". We gaan op een wandeling waarbij je onze endemische flora en fauna ontdekt in een omgeving die eruit ziet als iets uit een sprookje. Bij ons leer je niet alleen over "technische informatie", maar ook hoe de lokale bevolking op deze plek heeft geleefd en hun manier van leven heeft aangepast. Je zult begrijpen hoe de hulpbronnen van dit gebied werden geëxploiteerd: water, materialen om gereedschappen te maken , planten (afgezien van hun medicinaal gebruik). Maar bovenal zul je een geweldige tijd hebben. Er staan onderweg genoeg verrassingen en plezier voor je in petto - ben je klaar voor het avontuur?

Friendly local guides lead you trough a jungle like area up to a waterfall, entertaining and filled with interesting stories about the island, inhabitants and the local nature. Rather easy hike for hikers, but not a sunday stroll ( bring your hiking shoes). Transport from and back to hotel included.

This was a special tour, with great energy, and a fun story was told that included you. The small group concept is great, and I’m really glad there were no commercial stops at all! If you are an avid naturalist then perhaps the level of detail could have been greater. For me this was more a positive than a negative.

Great tour with two local, very experienced, friendly and funny guides. You will learn about some of Gran Canarias history, vegetation and animals with the waterfalls as highlights.

This tour was THE highlight of my 5 day visit to Gran Canaria! Ines and Juanjo have created something quite magical with their tour; a great combination of natural and cultural history with a mischievous sense of quirky silliness that was really enjoyed. The hike itself was beautiful and the plants; flowers and waterfalls breath-taking. I felt super relaxed after this experience even though we had trekked 8km. If I return to Gran Carnaria, I will definitely be booking another of their tours! Can't recommend this experience enough! Gracias!
